A photographer posted a pic from a model here, on GFY.

I sent him an Email and asked for a shooting. She is the kind of model I need.
One condition : I pay only after I get the content. Too many people got away with the deposit and no content at the end.


Now, I get the content and I realize that the model is 50 pounds heavier than it seems on the pic I saw. !!!

She is really fat : Unusable for me.

I usually ask for many pictures before I give an ok for a shooting. This time I didn't. It didn't even cross my mind that the picture posted woudn't correspond to the real model.

What would you do in my place ?

Who's responsability is this ?

I think it's deceptive as I think pictures should represent current model status. Would need to see picture presented versus what you got to be solid on my opinion as a few pounds would be okay but if an absolute cheeseburger whore now I would probably have an issue.

You may have great BBW content on your hands

did you send that pic to the guy and ask what happened to the girl, why she is 50 lbs lighter in the original photo, and that this is what you were looking for?

ask the guy why he took photos of the girl, knowing she's put on that much weight. He should have asked you about this first.

Most reputable shooters stand behind their work and will either not charge you or offer you a discount or free shoot of a different girl. He should be doing this for you.

As others have said, need to see the pics to see how egregious the situation really is.

If she's cute you can probably turn it over as bbw or big tit content, looks like you're already getting offers.

You must pay. All you can do is to ask for a discount...

you need to show the before picture and one that you received. Some people's opinion of "50 pounds" might be exaggerated and she might not look that different to everyone else.

Well, it's deceptive to market a model with pictures which are not current. Nonetheless, it's your responsibility to check things, ask questions and do some due dilligence. Not being happy afterwards is not reason enough to not pay. I would ask the photog if he thinks it's fair with a discount or a new shoot with another model. But not pay because you forgot to ask the necessary questions, as much as one would want business to be fun, friendly and fair, it's not and this is why you have to ask questions first.

Try to negotiate a deal, but to not pay, that would be even more unethical than what the photog did. A discount from the photog would be fair though.

The photographer told me he was self surprised how fat she was when she came in.
Looks like he dealed with an agent.

He offered me a discount.

That sucks and is extremely deceptive for the one selling the model's content. Can't be good for business in the long run once word gets around, methinks.

I think you need to discuss specific terms of the photo product you want, before you get the product. You said you didn't ask for sample pictures before the photo taking - I think you are the one who needs to see a sample.

Simple. It was a fraudulent misrepresentation of the models appearance.

What a lot of guys do with that situation is send the content back. Its the photogs responsibility to provide the client with quality content. If they over look the fact that she is now a fat cow. then its his bad and shouldnt be paid. Its happened to me and I learned that lesson the hard way.

Yeah, the photographer should have said something about the weight. Post comparison pics to see if you're over exaggerating ...50 lbs is a lot of fucking weight especially for a female :2 cents:

I'd sort of expect that with internet dating though.

Expanding models are a different story. Bit of false advertising to be showing pics as one weight and then doing a photoshoot at a noticeably larger size. Stupid thing is that she could probably be doing BBW work instead if she posted a current portfolio example with the interest shown in buying your rejected pics.
