I don't remember anybody in the business bashing him. There were some surfers on here and various people on the outer fringe..affiliates, programmers, designers and such who bashed him. But I don't really remember any of the real people in the business bashing him.

Bottom line is, the govt. just took his property and his freedom because they were offended by the make-believe scenarios of his movies that were shot with consenting adult women who were paid and even taped video footage of themselves after the scenes were shot laughing and talking about how they had a good time shooting the scenes.

I guess that judge didn't see the last Rambo movie. I enjoyed it, but damn...that guy Sylvestor Stallone who portrays the character Rambo killed a few hundred people in that movie. He should go to jail! And have all his money and cars and homes stolen...er, I mean taken by the govt.

When the day comes and I get arrested in Thailand and sentenced to three years in a Thai prison, you will all say I was a dumb ass for shooting there and had it coming. I "knew better" you will say.

When someone pushes the line, takes risks and thumbs their nose at the law, sooner or later your luck runs out. It did for Max and he brought it all on himself. He has no one to blame but himself. If he wanted to produce that type of content he should have moved to Germany. If he lived under the false idea that he was a free man to do as he chooses, he was ill informed. Perhaps when he gets out of prison he will think otherwise of his glorious freedoms.

Alot of you are under the impression that hosting offshore protects you, it doesn't. Not if you LIVE in the U.S. No matter where your material is hosted you can be prosecuted 'for making obscenity available' in a community anywhere in America if that community can access that material and deems it obscene.

Also, if you produce dvd's and they wind up at a retail outlet or in the hands of an obscenity investigator/postal inspector/prosecutor, anywhere in this country, for any reason, you can be prosecuted for distribution by the mere fact that you produced the videos and therefore are making them available.

I hope all of you are paying close attention to his case and are doing what you can to support him, if he isn't able to afford this appeal and if this ruling stands everybody in this industry will be affected.

I'm 47 years old, and in my short lifetime I've watched our personal freedoms taken away from us one after another. I am now "free" to live like a sheep under constant govt. guidance in every aspect of my life. And I'm "free" to pay them more than a third of the money I make in federal taxes for that privilege. And then I'm "free" to pay most of the rest of the money I make in "fees" (driving a fucking car is ridiculously expensive), property taxes, fines (speeding tickets are nothing more these days than a joint venture between local govt., federal govt., and insurance companies), and of course sales tax on everything I buy.

At the end? Probably 60% of everything I make is already gone to the govt. BEFORE I start paying my bills.

I don't know if I can afford all this "freedom" But thank God the govt. is around to save me from the dangers of watching a Max Hardcore movie. Or any of the millions of other things they dictate to me every damn day.
