I'm a Mac fan too :thumbsup Oldest I've had is the 18 year though...

I just had 25 the other day at Ceasars. Needless to say, I didn't know it was $100 a glass. :1orglaugh

The extra 7 years definitely make the difference. Give it a shot sometime.:thumbsup

Other than that, I like Jameson 18 for blendeds.

Not a huge Scotch drinker but I do like Johnny Walker Gold. It the best out of all I've tried that doesn't burn on the way down.

I like scotch but I don't spend big money on it...

If you're on a budget, J&B, Johnnie Walker RED, and chivas regal are ok....But if I get scotch, I just spend a little more and get JW Black.....The most expensive scotch that I've ever drank was JW Blue.

i've never the 25 year macallan, but i have had both the 18 and 24, they're both excellent.

and that's coming from a whiskey man, not typically a scotch drinker. generally i find scotch too dry and petey, but macallan's is just a phenomonal liqour.

i might have to pickup a bottle of that 25 year. i am sure it is excellent, as well as the fact that it would be kind of cool to drink something that is the same age as i am. :pimp

other than that brand, Chivas Regal makes some very nice scotch. another one of my favorites because once again, it is not overly dry.

as far as drinking it, i would reccomend a nice wide snifter glass, so it can breath, and a few drops of some good spring water to open up the nose. some people like a bit of lemon or orange peel in the glass as well, that is personal preference. i like to let the scotch speak for itself, without too much interference.

JW Black is not the most expensive, its just one step above Johnnie Red. Johnnie blue is their top of the line product. From worst to best it goes Red, Black, Swing, Green, Gold & Blue. How was the blue ? I never had a chance to taste it yet.

Good scotch is really nice. Much milder hard to pick a fav as long as its aged nicely.

Hmm, it all tastes like shit to me. I just drink to get drunk though.

Give me a bottle of Crown Royal and I am a happy man.

I'm more of a Bourbon fan, myself... but I can dig on a nicely-aged single malt.

It's kind of like drinking a buttery flavored air.....it's good but if you're drinking to get a buzz, Black will do just fine....It wasn't worth the $25 a shot at the restaurant...But that was years ago and my job paid for it...

I've never even heard of swing...never seen green in a liquor store, and I rarely see gold and have never drank it.

Crown Royal is the ONLY liquor that I have ever tasted that I wouldn't want to drink again...Now if that's the only choice then fuck it..

I've always been partial to the highland single malts. Nothing toooo smokey for me.

Hallelujah... I am a Mac fanatic. All the vintages are really good, but if you get a chance have the 30, its like a little orgasm in a glass.

Swing is really tasty for a blend. I personally think its a little sweet, but still pretty good. The blue is very overrated in my opinion.

I got my friend a bottle of this for his 30th birthday. It was a 1976 bottle that they no longer make. They only made about 600 bottles of it and luckily I got one. : )

25 year old mac is my favorite, My ex wife while we were married, was sitting in the living room with a drink in her hand and said the booze didn't taste good with coke, I asked which bottle she poured in, she told me the Macallen, I about shit, you mixed 25 year old scotch with COKE? Needless to say, I locked it up after that

Highland Park 18 is delightful and the favorite daily drinker of many critics.

Oban is damn nice too.

A true Scotch drinker will tell you that you can't really say which scotch is "BEST". Just what they like to drink.

Personally, I am not too fond of Island scotch... ie. Isle of Islay, Isle of Skye. They have very specific tastes and while some like it, I don't so much.

I prefer the highland single malts. McCallans 12 year is a favourite, but there are so many to mention.

I was a diehard Crown dude for a long time, until I tasted Chevas Regal. Don't get me wrong though, I still love Crown but the Chevas is a tad bit better IMO.

Good god! I understand why she is your ex wife now....

An employee of mine once told me he likes Scotch and Rootbeer, which is also a foul violation of the Scottish water of life. I've had a hard time forgiving him.

I agree with you on the J&B, one of the best blends too and my choice when Mac isn't around.
