Ok, I figured out your dirty little secret man. Somewhere you have a large building, maybe underground, maybe on a mountain. In that building, you have thousands and thousands of females that you are raising from birth. Ok, it doubles as a convent or something, you have nuns raising the babies. Wait, no, they can't be nuns, ummm, cyborg's, yeah, cyborg's raising the babies.
I haven't quite figured out how you get them, adoption, home for unwed mothers, whatever, I will figure it out though, rest assured. Once a month, you travel to this place, where all of the girls that have turned 18 in the past 30 days are brought before you. The hot ones are photographed and posted on GFY, the rest are sent to a stud farm where they are impregnated to replenish the supply. Ah, ok, that is how you get the babies, you knock up the ugly ones to produce more (I know this doesn't make sense, why knock up the ugly ones but if you have ever watched Miss America on TV and have seen the part where they cut to the parents in the audience, you will understand). See, I knew I would figure it out. Go ahead Mutt, try and deny it. There is no other way you would be able to get all these hot sexy chicks that you get. I mean the odds are that at least once you would post an ugly or sub standard chick. But alas, you do not, thus exposing your dirty little secret. Nobody gets the hot girls consistently like you do, there has to be something evil going on. |

Photographers have always been my favorite people in the industry - they are the 'underdogs', there is no industry without the guys who find and shoot these girls, softcore or hardcore, and while their job is harder and more frustrating than most in the industry they are on the low end of the payscale, some photogs like Steve Lightspeed, Spunky, Phil-Flash ,Rob from FTVGirls have had the wherewithal or right circumstances to make fortunes by not only doing the photography but also the web side, many photogs try going this route but fail, they came in too late or don't have the resources to do their own sites and still make enough to feed their families, photogs usually are not as young as the rest of the industry, most are mid thirties to fifties.
So I found Brian from Wanton's work on ATK galleries and I was very tired of lonely grunt work webmastering and because content was really what interested me, I love to critique content, I think I have a real eye for what good content is so I was a big fan of Wanton's photography and models, at the time i had no idea where he found them all, i didn't know much about agencies at the time, so I found Brian's contact information and emailed him and then spoke to him, I wanted to open up a content shop with Brian's work, thought it would go over well - miscommunication between me and Brian, a few days later Brian emailed me in a panic 'Are you planning to resell this stuff?' I said 'yeah i thought I explained that was what I was doing' he said 'noooooooooooo can't do that' - i was puzzled why, he said he owed his business success to Kim at ATK and didn't want to jeopardize that relationship with his content all over the place for 40 bucks a set licensed content. So i was disappointed. I thought about it for a few days and talked to Brian again and if he wouldn't let me sell licensed content I suggested I could find customers for exclusive content and I'd just broker it for a %. So that's what I did until customers were paying late and Brian was freaking out on me - so I just started paying Brian directly and billing customers myself. Brian can be a cranky man but he does have a big heart - he told me about MarcoP who was also in L.A. and that he was a friend of his and if I had any customers who were looking for teen video than MarcoP was the man, even though it would cost Brian business later on. When he said MarcoP I was excited because when I was looking for Brian's contact info I was also looking for MarcoP since I was also a big fan of Socal Coeds, which at the time was probably one of the top 3 teen sites on the Net. I couldn't find any way to contact Marco - I did email the owner of SocalCoeds or his dad, i was told to 'fuck off' - which is fine, I don't think if I had a great exclusive content shooter I'd be passing on his contact info either to anybody who just emailed me - the 'fuck off' was pure punk behaviour and later on Andreas would reveal himself to be the punk I thought he was. So for the next couple of years I became really good friends with both Marco and Brian and we all did well together. I certainly wasn't making a ton of money and I didn't need a ton of money - there's a limit to how much content two guys can shoot but we did ok. I kept my eyes open for other shooters I thought had talent and potential - guys not from L.A. because the L.A. girls I realized were becoming shot out so fast I didn't need them, Brian and Marco had L.A. covered, often shooting girls for their first time because both had good relationships with agents. I wanted to get a rep for having the cutest newest girls in the biz and pushed Brian to work with agents he didn't get along with because I now knew who had the best girls consistently - John Steven and Roy Garcia - the list of girls John and Roy have recruited is amazing - if both those guys had gone into the solo girl site biz instead of agenting they'd be rich men. I was kind of dumb - but really more lazy - I did think about approaching those guys with that idea but L.A. people are very difficult to deal with and I didn't really want to be running paysites. I began posting pics on GFY and Oprano of mostly Brian's work and models - that's where I began to get this rep for finding/having really cute fresh girls. Many times I posted here to people who thought I was shooting these girls myself that I was not the photographer. Anyway along the way here on GFY, I found Nikki Nevada aka Ashley Brookes posting - I had no interest in solo girl sites and really didn't know much about them other than through my friendship with MikeAI - I knew Steve was tearing it up with Tawnee and Brian was shooting a fair amount of content for Lightspeed's multimodel sites and the guys from SolarCash would hit me up looking for new solo girl site models. I also met Rico from Panchodog who was buying some teen foot fetish content from me and Brian. I really wasn't aware about how wide my connections were becoming in the teen niche - i just kept getting new customers and chatting with them - learning new stuff from different perspectives. I had no interest in Nikki Nevada - other than the more I saw her posting pictures on GFY I thought she was the most amazing 'girl next door' nude model I'd seen so far. So being a fan of adult photography I had also had a small relationship with the man I consider to be the greatest glamour centerfold photog of them all - J Stephen Hicks, I grew up whacking off to Penthouse and remember his name on all my favorite Penthouse Pet centerfolds. I thought Ashley was that caliber. I expicitly told Ashley that I didnt want to piss off her webmaster who I didnt know anything about at the time - Aron from TNACash - I thought if Ashley got to be a Penthouse covergirl it would actually help her and Aron - it would have actually but Aron talked to several friends and thought it wasn't such a good idea. Stephen flipped out when I showed him Ashley's photos - but I told her if Aron said no then that's it. She asked me if she could get a rain check - would the offer still be available later on - in January - when her contract ran out i found out. Things unravelled fast between Aron and Ashley and I was caught in the middle of it - not what I had planned - all I wanted to do was a favor to the girl and to Stephen Hicks - I didn't even take the usual referral fee from Hicks, I had him give it to her. At the time I was in the camp that these girls are all exploited to some degree - that has changed a bit since then for me. I still believe they'd all be better off if none of us ever approached them. I'm not like Donny though - I don't believe in religious boogeymen. Well now I was in a situation - I had a girl I was very fond of at loose ends - I didn't want to do a website with her, mostly because I didn't want anybody to say I was a model poacher and had stolen Ashley from TNACash and number 2 I really didn't want to be running a paysite for the next 5 years. Ashley also was concerned that if she did a new website that she'd be torn to shreds like another girl had been on here when she quit a site - Midwest Mandy. I told her if she did a site on her own - she had a bf at the time who was shooting her for things like the Miss GFY contest - that I didn't think people would give her much of a hard time. Plus she was probably the most popular models posting on here at the time - take a look at her original fansign thread - it is by far the longest in GFY history. She seemed to be heading off the adult Net and I was kind of relieved of that - then one day she popped up on ICQ and asked 'Hey how do you register a domain?' - i asked why and she said 'you said you woud help me' - and I knew where she was headed. I really didn't want this responsibility - I told her since I didn't want any part of her site that I'd help her/ advise her, hook her up with hosting, i'd do her design work for her because I actually do enjoy that but she'd be the one running her site. At the time I was pretty naive - I really thought Ashley would run with the ball and in a few months she'd be off and running on her own. I had no idea if she'd succeed or not - I made her promise to commit to doing 30 hours of work a week being a webmaster/model before I agreed to help her. I don't think she understood how serious I was about that - i repeated it a bunch of times. The road to AshleyBrookes.com was horrible - nothing went right - mostly on her end. And now I was feeling pressure that if it failed or never came to fruition I would come out of it looking like the failure or flake. So I stuck with it. |
About the same time I met Ashley here off GFY another photog I'd never seen post on here posted - I always click on threads involving content - so I peeked in on the thread. The photog posted some pics of a couple of girls and was asking if anybody was interested in custom content. One of the girls was very fresh and pretty and the photography looked decent too. I read the thread and noticed a few people replying and I could see already that the people weren't going to be helping him and probably screwing him. So I told him to hit me up on ICQ and we chatted about who he was, what his experience was and what were people who did hit him up saying to him and offering him. Photogs are impulsive and usually desperate - for cash - because most like i said are struggling when they get into this business. He had already made a deal for a solo girl site with the fresh pretty model and some deal with another guy i knew was going to buy his other content for next to nothing and just whore it out here on GFY. I told him to slow down - not to agree to anything until I had time to see who these people were and to look at his content. I liked him - unlike most of the photogs i talk to he was listening and trying to absorb what i was telling him, and trusting me. I pulled him out of the solo girl site deal cuz that was going absolutely nowhere but to a disaster. I told him from where he was the only way he'd succeed in this biz is finding more girls like the one he had posted - I introduced him to ATK, Homegrown Video, Karups and I thought Nubiles but he says he already had shot a girl for Bill before he made the thread on GFY. Anyway, that photog's name is John Emslie, and he was in debt up to his eyeballs at the time from student loans - 13 years in university will do that, two useless masters degrees in theology and I think Engish Lit. John began to make some money shooting for hardcore for Homegrown, solo girl teen stuff for ATK etc. Not enough money though, he was still renovating houses to keep his head above water money wise -
recruiting cute teen girls to do nude modeling is tough, I knew there was no way that John could recruit enough girls in a city of 600,000 to make the kind of living both Brian and Marco make - only in L.A. or Prague can a photog make a good six figure living shooting for ATK/Nubiles/Karups etc. So John and I were becoming very good friends and I also figured that along the way if he did well so would I. He was also trying hard to crack the magazine market - which isn't easy either, i told him from my knowledge of the magazine biz through Hicks that he had to concentrate on the web and that the only way I could see him ever making enough to live on in this biz was through solo girl sites - and that to make it with solo girl sites he would have to find girls that were special, that stood out, that were better than the girls that ATK and Karups might take. The progress with Ashley's site was turning into nightmare - she had started in September and in the middle of December I counted a grand total of 13 photosets and a few videos - her tour designs, all 5 of them were done, her CMS was done, her little affiliate program - but what was really important was missing - the content. I had orginally told Ashley we needed 40 photosets and 15 or so videos to launch - she seemed to be in la-la land, she got pissed off when I had the audacity to wake her up at the crack of noon one day and reamed her out - that's Ashley. Her website was supposed to just magically appear. It wasn't totally her fault but she was doing absolutely nothing to solve the problem of getting content shot. I called on my friend Marco before Christmas and asked him 'How'd you like to spend Christmas in Kansas?' I'd pay all expenses and him 500 a day, which is less than Marco makes normally. I really wanted this project done and out of my hands, and to succeed, Marco knew most of the story because we talk a lot, Marco and anybody who shoots for ATK/Karups in L.A. knows you have to shoot fast - Brian and Marco can crank out 20 sets a day no problem - John at the time was having a hard time getting 8 done. Marco agreed to fly in to Kansas and shoot Ashley for a few days - he'd easily be able to get 50 good sets and lots of video done so I told Ashley and she was typical Ashley 'That's cool, let me check my schedule calendar' - argggh - anyway I thought it was almost over until Marco called me early the next morning - he was a bit lit the night before when he agreed to go shoot Ashley, he isn't a great flyer and i could tell he was asking me to let him out of the offer, I told him he wouldn't be flying into Kansas on a prop plane but no luck. I really wanted to throw in the towel, I told Ashley to get her ass in gear and start looking around for a photographer locally. A few weeks later and still nothing done Internext in Vegas was coming and Marco was going to be there for a few days - so again I ask Marco if he can shoot Ashley in Vegas for a couple of afternoons - maybe get 20 sets - I set it all up, Marco got into Vegas and was calling me to make a schedule to shoot Ashley - and of course - Ashley flaked on both of us. If that girl had been in my vicinity at the time I would have decked her. I was done with it - I actually typed out a long post i was going to post on GFY to explain things because by now most people knew about the site and were asking why it was taking so long. I had been posting photos of Ashley for months - that's part of what I do - build up some anticipation, the way movies get hyped, that's how I approach a solo girl site, I spend a lot of time picking out the photos that I post, I only want the most flattering shots to be seen of a girl, they all have bad angles, some have tats, some have body issues. I was at my wit's end with AshleyBrookes.com - she was no longer the girl i thought she was, not deserving of any help, but I didn't want drama and part of me wanted to see if my instincts were right and she would do well. I realized she'd never get enough content shot on her own - the last bf was now out of the picture completely - so I turned to John. The reason I hadn't though of John before Marco is that John was so much slower than Marco, 8 sets a day max and maybe less - he'd have to be in Kansas for a longer time. So I asked John if he would go to Kansas and more importantly if he could promise me he could get 10 sets a day shot - I needed minimum 50 sets and lots of video - I didn't know how much this was going to cost, needed locations, hotel, food - I told John i couldn't pay him 500 a day - anyway John is a great guy and appreciative for what I had done for him and we agreed to 1000 bucks and then nothing, he was pretty much broke and trying to keep his own biz and life afloat and he agreed to go to Bumfuck, Kansas for a week and promised to come back with the required content. And he did it. Finally it was close to being done - I wasn't going to worry now about update content - let Ashley worry about that. A month later AshleyBrookes.com and for a solo girl site it did great - people have tons of misconceptions about solo sites - they think they are all doing all these sales - they overstimate sales by at least 2 times - for every Jordan Capri there are 100 that struggle to do ONE sale a day. Sites that do 10 plus a day are not even that common. Ashley was a solid star, not a Raven or Jordan, but just below that tier, 30-45 joins a day - she was making a ton of money, she was also becoming a bit of a monster. And I was stuck - either just walk away or keep maintaining her site and talking to her affiliates - she was too big now to have to actually talk to webmasters. I had promised John and her that I'd make them successful with 6 figure incomes and I had accomplished that - I just wanted out of it all. John was hard at work recruiting the special girls I told him he needed to - he shot his first solo girl site for Pimproll, MandysDiary, his second for Silvercash, SarahSexton, he was beginning to see some daylight ahead financially - and then Andi Pink - Andi's original test shots had been posted by me on GFY and my ICQ lit up like a Christmas tree - John for being such a great recruiter really doesn't know who is special and who isn't - he wasn't high on Andi, I was - I decided that the place for AndiPink was with Panchodog, no more cash deals, I wasn't going to give up a Mercedes for a Volkswagon price tag - we made a deal with Rico because of the people who offered deals I trusted him the most and he had the resources to make Andi successful. And it was the right decision - Andi was a star, and she's remained one for over 2 years, not a superstar but she is solid. That finally gave John some breathing room. Through Ashley's site and selling teen content for 4 years I now had relationships and some friendships with practically everybody in the solo girl niche. At one time before I had finally given up completely on Ashley I thought I would find a girl of my own and add it to her little program and that would give me a way to justify sticking with her. I almost did and ironically not with a girl from John, I was about to pay PerfectionJeff for a girl I thought had star potenital - of course within a day I discovered Jeff had lied to me and that deal never happened. |
John and I decided that we'd do things on our own from here on out. I picked out the name BratCash and we set out to find special girls. I thought it was going to be easy, John had impressive recruiting skills, in only a year he had found Mandy, Sarah, Andi, and a bunch of other fresh cute girls who weren't quite solo site material - but we hit a slump, John found a girl we called Crissy Snow, she got a nice reaction here on GFY, actually better than other girls I've posted but I kept thinking she's not very 'brat' like and she's not a star - that's one thing I know, I just looked around at all the really successful solo girl sites and it was obvious, it's all about the girl, without Tawnee and Jordan there is no Lightspeed Steve, he's just another guy with some teen sites, Spunky is just Spunky without Kate, Phil without Nikki and Tiffany is just a very innovative NN photographer, Felix, nuff said - Crissy Snow was all we had and she wasn't a Jordan or Kate or an Andi, I did build her website and hooked it up to CCBILLL but I decided to just let it sit until a later date, Crissy is still out there and will model more if we want her to, but and we were both disappointed, locally John wasn't finding anybody - so I began to help look, one thing about me is that when I get something in my head I will complete the mission, I started building model recruiting sites and advertising all over the place, and no I have never hit up a girl on myspace - I was naive again, I really thought if you offered 18-22 year old girls alot of money some would bite, I was offering 10-20K - through the modeling recruiting site I was getting hundreds and hundreds of submissions. a small handful were solo site caliber, I posted quite a few of them here during that time, maybe 2 or 3 would be star potential, I posted one of those ones here, she turned out to be a little Socal kook - we had her airplane ticket bought but we ended up eating it cuz she was just turning into a pinhead and had chopped off her gorgeous blonde hair and gone brunette. Another one named Shyla, looked like a little mini Pam Anderson, John began to shoot her, unfortunately it turned out that her father was a pastor and John got a midnight visit from him at his downtown studio - the man was shaking and upset, he hand John a fistful of hundred dollar bills - John didn't take it, content was destroyed, all 5 sets of it and that was that for Shyla. Another star to be was found in Vancouver, John talked to this girl for weeks and weeks, bought the air ticket for the test shoot, she was up for it, of course she flaked and never heard from her again. So 4 or 5 months later we still had nothing - I am patient and even if nothing good came up I had made up my mind I wouldn't do anything until I found a star. Then within a week or two - finally something good happened, John was walking through a mall and had seen a girl working in a cookie shop, he was going on and on about how cute she was, he had given her his business card. A week later her and her best friend came up to his studio and John took some test shots of both of them, the friend was shot for Karups and ATK. The cookie shop girl was every bit as cute and personable as John had described her. I finally had found a star - and better yet she came gift wrapped with her own name - Little Cookie. At about the same time while we were going through the submissions we had been getting for months, one came in that i actually ignored - after months of this I had stopped replying to girls I could tell from their photos just weren't going to want to be nude models - the model recruiting sites i had built all had 'NN' non-nude modeling as an option - at the time i thought maybe we would do a NN site if the girl was really special but I had decided that the NN niche was a poor bet these days - so any time a really cute girl submitted her photos it was always that she was only interested in NN - so i stopped replying to those girls, i wasn't interested in playing bait n switch with 18 year old girls. So John showed me this girl's photos - it was just a big collage of photos - some of the photos looked professionally shot, some amateur - she had this amazing face and smile, John asked if I had replied to her and I told him no wasn't going to bother, so he said he would. I said 'good luck with that'. Anyway that was Dawson, and as I predicted she was mostly interested in the NN but left a crack open at topless - John and her began to talk on the phone for a couple of months, I thought he was getting nowhere with her it was dragging out so long, she asked to meet him, we had already wasted a bunch of money on failed trips but I ok'd the trip so John went to meet her and took 4 test sets. The visit went great, John and Dawson are still friends and even though I've never met her in real life I do talk to her and she is what she looks like on video. So finally we had what we had set out to find six months earier - Cookie and Dawson - two stars. They just don't fall out of the sky these days, girls are very leary of nude Internet fame - literally minutes after Dawson's site launched I was running around the Net putting out fires where jerkoffs from her hometown were writing soap opera drama about her.
I just do the leg work on the Net looking for girls who might do nude modeling - I only bother girls who have done some nude modeling before - like the girl I posted yesterday. I found a great girl 2 or 3 months ago, I posted her in a thread here on GFY, i found her by accident, she's actually been shot for two websites before, FTVGirls and a GGW type site, and I liked her so much that i spent days trying to find her - I had leads but nobody would help me when i asked - I finally found her and John went and met her a month ago and I thought we had her, she's now in L.A. shooting for a solo site with some photographer. I talked to her yesterday, she says she didn't understand what i offered her and that's why she rejected us for this other photographer. I think in the end we may end up with her if she bombs out with this guy which i think is likely. One thing I know, it's not going to get any easier finding great teen models that have never been seen before. Online recruiting can work but it takes a photog with a gift for recruiting to pull it off and close the deal. As for Jay Rock, haha, he was exactly where John was when I discovered him on GFY three years ago, they are very different guys but their situations were identical and Jay was the same as John, he listens and understands and is grateful for any help i've given him. And he has the gift for recruiting face to face. That takes balls and some charm - both John and Jay are the right age for this, pretty hard for a 40 plus year old guy to hit up girls in malls or coffee shops. I think it would also be harder for a very young guy to do it - 20-25 - good age range is 25-35. It's all about the girls, the hard part if finding them, the harder part is getting them in to shoot, the hardest part is keeping them. |

Thanks for sharing your experiences with us Mutt. It definitely sheds some light into the inner workings of the solo niche. I don't mind telling people what I do or how I do it either, because at the end of the day, you just have to have that special sauce to get things goings, no matter what you've learned or heard.
With that said, I can attest to Jay-Rock having a knack for finding some nubile talent. In fact, we had lunch earlier today and he's been telling me of the recent success he's had with his shooting and recruiting. It really wasn't too long ago (actually a little over a year ago) that we met and he sent a few models my way. I shot some of the models and eventually brought him aboard to handle some of the photography work, but his focus was really in his band. However, December was coming up and I had to fly to the Czech Republic to marry my Czech fiance and do about 15 shoots that we lined up while I was there. I figured this would be an excellent opportunity for Jay-Rock to experience some international travel and really get a taste for shooting some of the most beautiful women in the world under a tight schedule. He pulled it off well, which allowed me time to spend with my fiance who wasn't fond of me shooting naked Czech women anyway. Gosh, the freedom I had as a bachelor, but I digress... Fast-forward a few months, and Jay-Rock really has focused on his photography work and recruiting. He told me about some of the great people he met on GFY, so I decided to take a peek here and lend my support to his up and coming career. Kudos. -Paco |

I wanna chime in here for a second. I see Ashley's name and ashleybrookes.com mentioned in this thread. I don't know or care what happened in the past its just that the past. I run ashcash and ragingbucks and i wanted to let everyone know Ashley's site is fully active and still growing.
All thu i believe Mutts post is genuine and he is speaking from the heart i just wanted to be clear Ashley's site is still up and going good. I can tell Mutt takes pride in what he does and you gotta appreciate that. Mutt does have a eye for what he does. Mutt is correct when he says Ashley is penthouse caliber. Ashley and Haylee just shot for penthouse last week.
