Was originally offered the role of Pvt. Chris Taylor in Platoon (1986). Keanu turned it down and the role went to Charlie Sheen.

Was originally cast as Chris Shiherlis in Heat (1995) but later backed out of the project, and the part went to Val Kilmer.

cant say that he cant act cause he stars in some movies that are all hit worldwide like The Matrix. I liked him in Speed...too bad he's gay

he deserves an oscar for the opening scene of him clapping with the monkey. brilliant.

I have always liked him

He is attractive for a dude, and has a knack for picking the right roles/scripts. Typically though just like Tom Cruise, only has one maybe two persona's. Also like Cruise he will eventually pull one good film actor wise (Cruise "born on the 4th of July") and that will be it.

He has the ability to know when to pass on a good script when he knows he can not pull it off actor wise (giving him credit), or he has a super big ego and has a hard time not being the main star.

Keeanu has done some decent acting from time to time...

I thought he was cast great in Point Break. He also gave a pretty good performance in "A Walk in the Clouds". Other movies he appears in are also pretty good despite his acting shortcomings, such as Bram Stoker's Dracula, Speed, Devil's Advocate, and The Matrix.

Shame about River Phoenix. That's the only movie I've seen him kinda acting.

I just saw Street Kings the other day and it is easily one of the worst films I've ever seen.

Just saw "Day The Earth Stood Still" thought it was very average at best... was like one big eco commercial that every one will agree with, and then 5 seconds later forget about :1orglaugh

I did hear that the guy who trainer him for the Matrix films, who is the same guy who trained Jet Li, reckoned if the two (Jet Li V's Keanu Reeves) would fight it would be Keanu who would win... sounds like that guys the dude who deserves the Oscar if he made any one believe that !
