MACS BLOW (or do they?)

I am a Windows man myself, but there seems to be a shifting tide in recent years. Where do you stand?

:upsidedow

goldmine 02-20-2007 07:26 AM

PC all the way!

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 02-20-2007 07:36 AM

stickyfingerz 02-20-2007 07:42 AM

I dont like coffee alot, so Ill stick with PC's :thumbsup

sumphatpimp 02-20-2007 08:06 AM

anything is better than microshit.
I prefer linux but I would galdly use a mac over a pc.

drjones 02-20-2007 08:43 AM

Hardware tweakers and people who always want go grab the latest and greatest video cards or other hardware upgrades probable wont like Mac's to much. The overclocking crowd, too.

Otherwise, macs are great machines. I'll probably always get apple laptops from now on, but once my mac desktop becomes obsolete, I'll probably just build PC's again from scracth and run Linux (not a windows guy at all).

Nysus 02-20-2007 08:53 AM

It's a bit difficult figuring out where some things are but is just a learning curve.

LilBro 02-20-2007 08:59 AM

got myself a macbook in November 2006...havent looked back. so glad i gave it a shot...plus chics dig the mac

dissipate 02-20-2007 09:20 AM

Got a mac about a year ago, wouldn't go back to winblows if you paid me.

Fetish Gimp 02-20-2007 09:24 AM

Macs RULE! Have you seen the commercials? That PC guy like, totally sucks lol! But Macs make you smarter, it's been proven by tons of studies and scientists. And they come in such pretty designer colors! You're like, a total loser if you use PCs.

shekinah 02-20-2007 09:26 AM

I'll stay with PC.:)

CosmicTang 02-20-2007 09:28 AM

once you go Mac, you never go back.

Plus you can make webpages, and your own videos on a mac, wherein with a PC you can only do excel spreadsheets, and use the calculator. I think this is a no brainer.

goldmine 02-20-2007 09:39 AM

Okay... lets end this Argument

borked 02-20-2007 10:07 AM

I don't try to force people to switch, because I couldn't care less. Use what you are most productive on, and for that, it's Mac all the way for me.

loverboy 02-20-2007 10:13 AM

pc all the way

Fap 02-20-2007 11:06 AM

PC for sure

KustomKowgurl 02-20-2007 11:11 AM

Mac, no doubt!

Tuga 02-20-2007 11:21 AM

Mac Mac Mac Mac.

Gerco 02-20-2007 11:39 AM

Unless you have used both, for work and play... I mean seriously used them both, how could you even compare? I'm betting anyone that jumps up and down over the PC has never really used a New mac... I have mutliple versions of both... I hold an MSCE I have build WAN's for large companys using everything from Windows server to Novell to AS400's. With all that behind me, the fucking Mac rules. Sorry, hate the truth if you will... get caught up in all the idiot hype, adds, fighting between the different formats... let the smoke clear and the Mac is still on top.

Best thing is this... Find a way to get your hands on a new Intel mac for a week.. use it. Encode video on it. Surf the web on it. get your email on it. Really use it.... then come back here and tell us which you like better.

OS X is actually NetBSD, not FreeBSD, but still, I agree being *BSD is one of it's very strong points :thumbsup

digifan 02-20-2007 12:44 PM

An Apple a day... even if it's a mini mac, it rocks!

xroach 02-20-2007 12:54 PM

apple is fashion brand.

ayne468 02-20-2007 01:11 PM

I have not used a mac since I was at school...but I must say I am getting curious...!

madawgz 02-20-2007 01:12 PM

sticking with PC :)

tony286 02-20-2007 01:14 PM

if it wouldnt cost me 10 grand to convert I would seriously think about it and a big part of it is what a piece of crap vista is.

The Sultan Of Smut 02-20-2007 01:41 PM

Macs are PCs now... I guess the poll should be Windows vs MacOS and maybe thrown in Linux :)

quiet 02-20-2007 01:48 PM

what ever works for you, but i built my business on mac osx.

NETbilling 02-20-2007 01:48 PM

Apple rules!

Was gonna post the same thing. Open a mac and you'll find standard pc hardware (Intell Core (2) duo processors, intell or nvidea graphics cards etc). The only thing that's original about a mac these days is the design.

RawAlex 02-20-2007 03:04 PM

If you are doing mac stuff with mac software and that is your entire goal in life, then the mac is fine.

If you go beyond "end user" status, then the Mac is probably way too restrictive for you. If you like to use the latest software, apps, and web accessories, then the mac isn't for you either.

If you want to impress the girls with your art deco computer, buy a mac. If you have work to do, get a PC.

macmark 02-20-2007 03:07 PM

I'd advise anyone who's never thought about getting a mac to buy a cheap macbook or something to just have hanging round the house to use while your in bed every now and then. That's what I did, and eventually I wanted my work machines to be macs aswell.

The hardest thing about switching is unlearning windows habits.

tASSy 02-20-2007 03:10 PM

mac mac mac mac mac

freebsd freebsd freebsd freebsd....

Macs have a keychain which stores all your passwords and allows you to manage them. Works perfectly.
