I installed Vista yesterday and now i'm seriously thinking about getting a mac.
That UAC really sucks, I was like WTF?? Apple made a funny commercial about it.

It rocks! I noticed on the 1.0 release they ditched the quack as the default notification sound.

Thank god. Although I have sound turned off most of the time, that little quack is even more annoying than ICQ's trademark, "Uh-oh"

First off there was not a bigger trash talker about macs then me. But that was before I tried one. No I have a mac book pro that triple boots OSX, XP , and Redhat 6. Its the best of all worlds.

You PC users are right in that the biggest problem mac's have is the user base. To many of the people that buy them do it for the style not the great bsd based OS. To many idiots buy one and then dont take the time to learn it . The dumbest emails we have gotten are from mac users that cant figure out how to play a windows media player file. Its such an easy thing to do that it scares me yet people find a way to mess it up.

So to sum up Dont blame macs for the dumb asses that use them cause the OS is amazing and long live adium.

The only reason I have a PC is to see how there rest of the world sees my site. The rest of the computers in my office are all Apple.

haha ya like I was thinking about Mac computers while I was enjoying all the nice weather, alcohol and chichas pish posh. But macs suck still. :winkwink:

Idiot. Do you see OS X being sold with Dell & HP machines? No. Look into that and then you'll realise why Macs have a lower market share. It has nothing at all to do with choice.

I have multiple pc workstations and thousands of dollars in pc software for video editing, encoding, DVD authoring, graphic design etc that are working well for me, so switching to Mac is not an viable option at this point. I am not a hater though, some of my best friends use Mac for design work and personal computer use, and they like it a lot.

I guess I should have titled the thread differently. This poll is just wrong. Mac users are a vast minority of computer users. Well, at least you Mac guys get to feel good about yourselves for a bit, so I guess all is well.

I see a number of very similar threads spawning since I started this one. I am glad. This issue seems to be the big divide. I didn't realize how many people felt so strongly on both fronts.
