Girl choked out by prison guards for refusing to...

take a shower in jail.

She was arrested for playing her radio too loud, of all things.

What a waste of tax money right there...

Her father is a Florida State Prosecuting Attorney. :)

as a former L.E. in the military, they didn't do anything wrong. she was out of control and not cooperating. she was under the influence. nothing will happen to them. this is a "use of force" departmental policy thing. the state is the one who sets those guidelines with the department. the chair was used to restrain her in her unruly state. a more aggressive way to do that, and more uncomfortable way is to hobble her with a hobble chain. she's a stupid chick, got loud with the cops when they came to have her turn down the music, ended up getting arrested, and then her actions deteriorated from there. once you are in police custody you are not in charge anymore. i listened to her whole interview after and i think that they are hallucinating if they think that those officers are going to be disciplined.

I agree as a military member with A1R3K

Your 100% correct, I worked as an LEO and worked for years in a Correctional Facility. She was clearly out of control and was NOT being choked. I have placed many unruly people in that same type chair and I saw nothing wrong with their procedure. She was fighting them every minute and it isnt easy getting out of that chair. What would people be screaming if she ended up hurting herself in her obviously unrational state she was in if they had decided to NOT do their job and ignore her??? Then THAT would be the complaint. Its all bullshit, your little girl got arrested and acted like a crazed person, she did it to herself.

Anthony 06-30-2006 01:17 PM

I guess we were watching different clips.

She wasn't harming herself when she got put in in the first time, she was asking for a breahylizer test, didn't get it, put in the chair.

She got out of the chair, and was still asking for the same test, this time she was manhandled.

If you did not notice the hands around her chin were also cutting off the blood flow slowly as they were over her carotid aretieries, in effect being choked.

I guess the clip you guys were watching didn't go over the department policies on the use of the chair.

If you think nothing is gonna happen to those cops, with her father a STATE ATTORNEY, you are sadly mistaken.

FUCK the military and FUCK the police ... I hate the lot of em... fucking twisted power mad freaks.

Yes. Quote me. I've had two run ins with the law which have fucked me off because I've done nothing wrong and they've thrown their weight around to try and make me look bad. Well fuck em... only reason they have jobs is because the majority allows them. Military and police is a governed system of force which wouldn't exist if the whole country didn't want it ... It's happened before ... not that I condone it ... i do understand and know we need a system. I just get angry and pissed off with power mad freaks.... ah well... probably gone off topic... lol

Sorry :D

Its standard procedure during a forced cell move or entry, so if they were up to no good and "torturing this poor girl" why would they be following procedure and taping it.

She is obviously a spoiled brat, who thought she didnt have to follow the rules of the jailhouse (refusing to shower which started the whole thing off), regardless of what she thinks about being wrongfully arrested, and suffered the consequences.

But your right the ignorant and uneducated public wont see it that way probably.

haha wow...you guys in the military need to get a grip

Airek..if that was your daughter or your sister..i think youd have a different persepctive on the event.

They choked her the fuck out? because she played some music loudly?

holy fuck on the heavenly hill...best turn down that music

i hope every one of those cops gets fired and is never allowed to work in a position of authority again.

did you not notice them screaming for her to get on her knees..when she was clearly on her knees?

someone will get an assraping for this....and im sure it isnt her or her father...lol

if you play music at your h ouse you can be arrested? lol
when they get you there..they can force you to shower? wtf...for an overnight stay? if you dont want to shower they can tie you up and restrain you with a chair from the medieval ages? WTF?

and they taped it because they have to
if they didnt theyd be in even bigger shit

you guys saying this is ok....you have already lost your freedoms.

pocketkangaroo 06-30-2006 01:56 PM

Florida has some of the most corrupt police officers in the world. This isn't much of a surprise. This stuff probably happens everyday, except this time it happened to someone who had a father working for the state. I'm surprised more people haven't realized that Florida is the most fucked up state in the country.

Can not wait until someone breaks into your house, or steales your car. You will be on 911 so fast.

icedemon 06-30-2006 02:03 PM

1. She got arrested for playing music too loud. That plain stupid.
2. She asked for a breathalizer test and didn't get one. Not even a sobrity test
3. Was told to take a shower. Who the fuck cares if she took a shower or not (unless they are planning to keep her for more then 1 night for playing music too loud).
4. She wasn't harming herself or anybody else. No reason for the chair

It doesn't matter if the police were using the chair poperly or not and she didn't get herself into that situation (especially for playing loud music and not being drunk). The whole reason the police were doing that is they were annoyed with her. That is no reason for the chair, choking or being arrested.

That's a joke right?

While Florida and other states may have some corrupt cops. They're nowhere as corrput as some South American countries and many others. :2 cents:

Darkland 06-30-2006 02:05 PM

I am not saying they are right or wrong... They dont show anything other than her being placed in the chair and escaping then placed back in the chair. The officer who is suppossedly "choking her out" is attempting to restrain her head and it doesnt look like she is in continous contact with her throat. What I am saying, they followed procedure during the chair placement. As to why they placed her in there the media convienently only gave the girls side as to why she was placed in it.

And give me a break, arrested for playing music to loud, thats what she says but anyone with half a brain knows you dont get arrested for that, something else must have happened that caused the arrest.

That's what I hoping. I hope there is more to this story then loud music and being accused of being drunk.

Stallion 06-30-2006 02:25 PM

You can clearly see the female sgt choaking her. I also worked in law enforcement in Florida years ago and this is not allowed. They refused her a breathalizer test, another no no since they said she was drunk.

Both officers charged will most likely get some time and lose their badges. Especially being this is related to a States Attorney. The Governor will most likely make sure of that.

She said she was arrested for playing her music to loud why would she need to have a breathalizer? Because there is more to the story she is conveniently leaving out to help her "Police Picked On A Poor Innocent Girl" image. I bet there is more to this story that will end up coming out.

fl_prn_str 06-30-2006 02:33 PM

Once the judge states this?. ?You are hereby remanded to the custody of the state department of corrections" is where you become "state" property and you lose a lot of your "rights

What does her reason for being arrested matter? I highly doubt the COs sit around and say to each other "hmm, Julie is only in here for noise disturbance, let's cut her some slack!"

if they dont they should

noise disturbance vs possible cannibal

there is a reason you should pay attention to your job

acctman 06-30-2006 02:49 PM

why are people shocked by that? that probably happens all the time in prisons, jails, on the streets, anywhere where someone has power and control over another.

uh... when thinking about restraining someone in a forceful way, as the prosecutor said, you need to judge whether the person is a danger or not.. Ofcourse it then makes a difference if the person was arrested for noise disturbance or if the person was arrested for killing someone...

Its starting to seem that way

Showers in prison mean RAPE. So what the state is saying 'is "get raped or choke, you choose". Show me I the rules wher is says prisoners MUST take showers? I'm not saying it's not a rule I am asking someone to go find the extact staute in florida law that states this.

ridikuloz 06-30-2006 06:04 PM
