So who wants to get married and have kids?

Been thinking about this latly since I turned 30.

Is it really worth throwing away your freedom and crazy single life for?

sickkittens 03-05-2006 09:53 AM

My advice is that if you're debating on whether to "throw your single life away" you shouldn't.:2 cents:

jimthefiend 03-05-2006 09:53 AM

Yes. I have a 7 year old girl, and she's the most important thing in my life.

phogirl69 03-05-2006 10:08 AM

I want to get married but I don't ever want kids. I don't want to give birth, I don't think I can endure it and I'm afraid of a c-section. I am one of those wussies that would probably chose an elective c-section (like Britney and Posh Spice did) with me totally put asleep (I'd rather get cut than have to push it out), but even that doesn't seem too appealing.

I also really don't like kids too much, I'd rather be "free".

The Demon 03-05-2006 10:10 AM

Chaze, if you're 30 and are still considering putting the wild crazy single and obviously low class and insignificant life, over a family, then you have some serious problems.

This is what miserable married married folk say to single people w/out kids lol

BellaSeaira 03-05-2006 10:12 AM

Well I have to agree with sickkittens if you have to question weather or not it is worth it you haven't found the right person.

stickyfingerz 03-05-2006 10:13 AM

Turning 33 in 2 days. Married two kids big ass mortgage suv, whole nine yards. Love it. Wouldnt change it for anything. Did the single thing for 26 or 27 years. Its only fun for awhile. Then it starts to just feel empty, and there is a void that no amount of pussy or dope, or money, or alcohol can fill. :2 cents:

Ouch, cmon everyone is different.. there is no reason to bitter about that. I have a done allot of significant things to help others besides having children and getting married. :)

The Demon 03-05-2006 10:16 AM

Yea but that's the problem with most of the douchebags in the adult industry. They think living the single life is the shit, and they do it til they're 40, or hell even later. I highly doubt they enjoy it for that long, unless they're ignorant. But if you want to live a meaningless life like most people in the adult industry, to each his own.

WiredGuy 03-05-2006 10:38 AM

I wouldn't mind settling down, its not like my single life is all that great :)

Well I'm getting married in June, within a few years I'm sure we will have a kid since that is what we have talked about.

Ycaza 03-05-2006 12:27 PM

well i am 42 and really driving towards that whole ethos. tried it earlier and it didn't take, but i am all kinds of ready now.

Spunky 03-05-2006 12:28 PM

It's not in the cards for me..Girlfriends only

KRL 03-05-2006 12:32 PM

I'll sum it up in one sentence for you.

Getting married and raising children will be the absolute most rewarding, yet absolute most challenging, experience of your entire life.

:)

Rochard 03-05-2006 12:33 PM

I'm 37, married for 12 years, and have a 5 year old. Nothing has provided me with more fun or entertainment. It's a blast.

5 is still the fun stage. When they hit their teens though and start the stage where they want to spend more time having fun with their friends instead of you its a whole new emotional experience to deal with and accept.

Ivana Fukalot 03-05-2006 12:43 PM

I want to get married and have kids in few years . now i am still not ready to change my life this way .

I'm getting married in June, and I'm 42, I will turn 43 in May. I've never been married before, and what the hell is wrong with that? Everyone is different. I'm absolutely ready and eager to start a family, I"m with the most amazing women ever, I"m looking forward to spending the rest of my life with her, and we plan to have kids right away.

I've known plenty of guys that got married in their 20s and then 20 years later they are wondering if they missed something. They find themselves in a bar wondering "What would it be like to be with a girl like that?". I KNOW what it would be like. I haven't missed anything, I've been around the block so many times that I know every crack in the sidewalk, and now I'm completely and utterly ready, in every aspect of my life, to be a devoted husband and father.

It's silly to be so judgemental of other people's lives or the schedules by which they live them. Just because people don't live their lives exactly the way YOU do does not make them "meaningless":2 cents:

seeric 03-05-2006 01:18 PM

rock out! i don't think theres a woman on earth that can put up with me. ROFL

Antonio 03-05-2006 02:00 PM

I want to have kids, I don't want to get married

The Demon 03-05-2006 02:09 PM

I wasn't critisizing marriage or telling you what point in your life you have to get married. I was critisizing the losers in the adult industry who think the single and crazy life is a meaningful one..

dooglas 03-05-2006 02:10 PM

I'd love to be married with kids. Hard as hell to find a good girl to marry though!

quiet 03-05-2006 02:11 PM

i'm definitely interested in getting married. kids? never. in general i can't stand them.

The Demon 03-05-2006 02:14 PM

At least some of you have your heads in the right place..

Misery loves company

I don't mind getting married at 50, and I don't even mind not getting married at all. I guess I am not the marrying type. But there is something about siring a son that excites me

I wanna have at least to kids. I must have a boy and a girl. :winkwink:

Slick 03-05-2006 07:58 PM

I'm 31 years old, I've been with my wife for a little over 15 years now, married for 5 and a half of those. We have 3 children, 4, 8, and 13. I've only fucked 2 women in my life, my wife and my girlfriend of 3 years before her.

I know that I didn't have any chances to play the field, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I love having a family. I can go out to the bar with the guys and not have to worry about trying to pick someone up, I get to come home to my beautiful wife.

The nice thing is that we've stoped at 3 children, so when the last one turns 18, I'll be 45 years old and will be able to enjoy my middle aged years and the grand children.

It's kinda funny because I have a couple of friends that would love to have a family of their own, one is 24 and one is 32, but things just never click for them.

Slick 03-05-2006 08:02 PM

I guess that it all depends on your situation. If you're with a woman that you feel that you love and want to spend the rest of your life with, by all means marry her, but definately don't rush into things and also try to live with her for a while before you propose because some people can date fine, but once they live together, they can't get along. I had a cousin that got married before moving in together because it was "morally right", but it ended up being a nightmare.
