just heard on the local news here in LA - no details yet on cause of death....

Aw, that's so sad...only 42. I loved his acting in "Reservoir Dogs" (he played "Nice Guy Eddie") and several other flicks...

I think Chris and Sean Penn looked about as much alike as the Quaid brothers...

Very sad, he was an underrated actor imo

Just did a search at IMDB and noted that Chris Penn and Randy Quaid each did nearly twice as many movies as their more famous (and some would say more handsome) brothers. They may not have made as much money for their roles, but they are proof positive that there is frequently lots of good work for strong character actors.

Roberts had the best lines in that one though.. all busted up, jumping around on one leg, shoulder dislocated, stating "Pardon me, but I'm going to take your head off."

Reminds me of the knight in Monty Python's graal-flick where he gets both arms and legs chopped off and keeps insisting that he wants to continue the battle.

Sucks, I used to rent his movies at blockbuster all of the time. RIP
