My experience with Epassport (rubbish)

Well i never got a chance to tell everyone about my wonderful experiences with Epassport - so i thought i would do so now.

Lets see where to start...

I contacted them around 15 times via phone ( at overseas rates of course) The answers i got varied between:

We are closed (i rang 5 minutes later they were open, then closed again, randomly)

Next time they answered like this,, uhhh hello? Then i asked them a very basic question about thier service, which they mumbled some rubbish and transfered me to someone else, which never answered anyhow.

Then the next few times i rang them, i basicly got someone who didnt have any product knowledge at all. Thats who you want running your call centre, someone who doesnt actualy have any product knowledge at all, and answers like they are at home in thier pijamas!

I believe in total i tried to contact them around 10-20 times over a 1 month period. The best i got was some american teenager who knew one or two things about the service, although not anything i was asking about, of course.

I then sent them 3 or 4 emails, all i wanted to find out was about thier system, if it accepted any type of credit card. I got one reply once, i cant remember off the top of my head, i think it was one of your standard copy and paste replies with nothing relevant.

Then being the bad tempered person i am, i decided to send them another email of a slightly less beligerent nature, asking why in the hell i was being treated like this. I then got an email from the manager explaining how they would not do business with me becuase of my nasty letter.

Visa is a great company, although it looks as tho they have outsourced this part of thier business to a company with less focus on customer support. Not only did the staff not have a clue AT ALL what they were talking about, the manager did not help either. In fact he basicly told me to fuck off.

Now i am the first to admit i should not have gotten angry, but the first rule in customer service when you have an angry customer is to calm them down. In fact i have worked in sales and call centres for nearly 9 years now, if someone was managing my company like this, well i would be outraged, and i would hope VISA would be, thier company is being represented terribly.

I make a point of telling every web master i work with about this companies very poor service. They have a GREAT productive, i would have loved to use it, but well if they treat customers like this..

What happens if your 10k affiliate payment gets lost? Good luck getting that back. Fuck it, i wouldnt trust these guys with payment for a postage stamp.

Im sure 99% of the people here will only have good things to say, but well it only takes one person to get fucked around like this to see what they are capapable off. I would hope VISA might look at changing thier outsourcing policies, shame for such a reputable company to be taken down by a few lazy emplyee's.

So here is my advice to everyone, i would aviod this company like the plauge, they might be paying on time for now, but when it DOES fuck up, well dont expect any help.

I would also be interested to know off anyone else who has had similar problems...

JamesK2 11-21-2005 05:40 PM

The script and processing etc is great but I've had a very bad experience with the customer support, they're really stupid.

I got a new contact now tho, Shaliza @ ePass, when I contact her I get my problems solved very quickly. Too bad their normal CS can't be like that.

phonesex 11-21-2005 05:41 PM

stupid is an understatement.

johnpr0n 11-21-2005 05:44 PM

Good im glad some other people have had the same experience. Well im not glad you got fucked around hehe, but im glad i have other people here saying the same thing.

I would have to say i have NEVER had a more un proffessional attitude displayed towards a potential customer.

Please if you have had the same shit happen post it up, maybe something can be done, or maybe at least less people will use thier shitty service.

johnpr0n 11-27-2005 06:28 PM

Bump - let more people see this ;)

Actually in epassportes case its the other way around. 9 out of 10 posts are people complaining about similar issues. One would easily think its run by a bunch of monkees after reading all this shit.

My monkey was very offended by that comment , he wants you to take it back and use a lower life form, he informed me that he could easily perform most tasks associated with customer service.

U suck, epass is da shit

why don't you give us some arguments

slapass 11-27-2005 07:06 PM

I love epassporte. Just be aware that it takes 5 phone calls to solve any issue. Once you accept this fact, they rock.

Never had any probs with thier service, had one double charge once, mistake by the shop but the support was great by phone and email.
And best of all, it gives my taxfree cash :thumbsup

Doctor Dre 11-27-2005 07:07 PM

The customer support sucks arse ... Chris Mallick told the board it was gonna get better shortly, it just got worse (downtimes, script maintenance AND customer support)... that fucking sucks...

On the other hand, I personally won't stop using epass since it's a good product compared to normal checks ... that's all . I love instant money ;)

You're the first to say something positive about their support.

Let's see if they're just as good next time you need them, 'cause I think you've been lucky :thumbsup

Nicky 11-27-2005 07:09 PM

epass is very nice when everything is working but when something is wrong and you need support help its a pain

Banks dont usually do taxes, your government does. Most "income" is taxable , if you choose to evade taxes , thats your choice , but it has nothing to do with epass. If what you are saying is "they dont report income to the swedish government " i wouldnt be so sure of that.

Who knows , i'm not saying they do , but i wouldn't be naieve enough to think they dont :winkwink:

They could simply send your visa number /name and ip logs and correlate your isp . Obviously they couldn't track everyone this way , but...

SmokeyTheBear 11-27-2005 07:29 PM

Once you go over a certain limit epassporte will make you fax a copy of something with your address on it ( utility bill ) and a copy of your passport..

Really? Whats the limit?

JamesK2 11-27-2005 07:31 PM

Yep. Just trying to tell ya... ePassporte is not as perfect as you may think. I've been using them since start, and I like them but their support is just plain shit. It's a true mess. I have seen so many people complain about it I'm wondering why they still haven't improved it yet.

those who think its tax free money are kidding themselves. the irs is starting to look at paypal transactions because people arent paying taxes on this money.

PayPal names names as IRS chases tax evaders
By Paul Lashmar
Published: 06 November 2005

PayPal, the internet money-transfer arm of eBay, is to disclose the identity of customers who use the service to evade paying US taxes.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is demanding records of customers using Paypal through offshore accounts in all tax havens, including Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar and other UK dependencies.

when you get the epass card and you use it at atm's, the banks see the transfer... so im asking myself, will the tax guys find this out? Also because your name is connected to the pass (i think)?

Niklas 11-27-2005 07:49 PM

Paypal is known worldwide.. I have yet to meet a single person outside online adult who have heard of epassporte. You should still pay your taxes.

Like I told you on the other board you posted on several days ago, you are welcome to contact me for if you have problems signing up or questions on the process.

If anyone has a problem or question feel free to contact me.

I have never gotten a response to any of my emails to them.. and getting somone on the phone a null attempt. I wouldnt go near them.

Gunni 11-28-2005 02:32 AM

I've always had very good experiences with eppasport.
Had to call them like 3 or 4 times and always got my problems solved asap

darksoul 11-28-2005 02:41 AM

I didn't need epass support so far so got nothing bad to say about this.
But I know bigger companies that have the same kind of support.
As far as epass goes I got my ATM card in less than 2 weeks and I'm in Romania,
I was impressed. But yea I hope I wont need their support anytime soon.

johnpr0n 11-28-2005 05:01 PM

Yea you guys are right, epassports product is GREAT - i would have loved to use it. But well i wouldnt be trusting then with large sums of money, no way. If they dont know how to answer the phone like a professional, nor answer BASIC questions, well yea i wouldnt rely on them with large sums of money.

Its a real shame too, would make life to much easier.

And donners - I believe we are all adults here (legally anyhow :P), maybe you should input on the conversation like an adult?

RogerV 11-28-2005 05:11 PM

Never needed any support in the begining there was a small learning curve but now its smooth sailing. We pay by epassporte and the webmasters love it.. fast and easy

johnpr0n 11-28-2005 05:19 PM

Yea i think its a great service, they just dont provide any customer service. I guess if you dont require any help, then you would be fine to use it :)

Chris Mallick is the head Monkey there. epassporte is not a real banking institution and their days are numbered imho. They saw an opportunity to make some quick cash off the adult industry and jumped all over it, thats the bottom line. :2 cents: :2 cents:

johnpr0n 11-28-2005 05:56 PM

Haha, good cal speakeasy. IF they provided some sort of customer service, and hired people over the age of 14, they would have a DAMN good product.

But sadly i dont see that happening.
