Anyone here use Google AdSense? What type of sites?

i was making 20-30 bucks a day on a webchat site. until Google made me pull it off

I dont know, they havent processed my request to use it yet, was like 3 weeks ago I applyed :Oh crap

It's supposed to take up to 2 days. Maybe you deleted the email on accident?

Would you recommend using it vs. say using an affiliate banner?

depends what kind of traffic u got, i find it does well for me on mainstream sites.

u will get on faster if u apply via blogger.

There's no real way to figure out (ahead of time) how much you will get per click?

I've got a handful of mainstream sites that I use with adwords. The trick is getting an adwords advertisers account and finding out high PPC keywords.

Not really, there are sites out there (adsenseadwords.com) that display the average max $ per keyword. Others say the adsense payout rate is comparative to Adwords.

It against the TOS to use it for adult sites.

yep, sign up as an advertiser, go to add a keyword and make play around with your PPC amount. You'll eventually find out which keywords are best and which give the best payouts and how many searches to expect a day

I make about $50 a day from each of the 1-2k forums i run.

In the beginning i only made $10, but its like the users found out that it was relly great sites adverticed through adsense.. so they started clicking

depends on if the ads pulled by adwords are relevant. Mine was pulling "Free Chat rooms" , "Get your free online chatroom" shit like that. Since it was extremely relavant it got lots of clicks.

I also had a AFF banner on the page too, that made 30 bucks in about a week on the ppc program.

in conclusion, if the ads pulled are relevant then you CAN do well. If they're not, you probably won't make shit

I have some sites that will do over 1.50 a click, usually its for niches without a whole lot of traffic.

because I had adwords on a login page. The shit was displaying in a frame and it happened to appear on the login page and I guess that's against TOS.

BTW there's lots of rules that ARE NOT on the TOS page. and they'll pull your account if they're having a bad day :mad:

Travel is consistant. High PPC words are usually stuff like payday loans, etc. The AdWORDS and Adsense PPC are totally different. You will get in between 10 cents and 1.50 for a payday loan site, but if you want the top spot for ADWORDS, it gets in the multiple dollar range. College education keywords do rather good.

home refinance type words are WAY up there. I saw one that was near $30

I'd guesstimate my cost/net profits at about 1:4 ... not bad!
Really depends on what you are promoting, some keywords/markets don't do anything .. and their guidelines are full of holes and inconsistencies.

what the hell are you talking about? adsense comparative to adwords? all adsense is, is google using you to send their adwords clients traffic instead of the google search. then they take a cut.

adwords is the program for advertisers to add their ads

adsense is the program for webmasters to display adwords on their site
