yes of course, everyone understands this...

but all he did was speed up the process of what gradually happens to your body over the course of years of the typical "several times a week" fast food consumption. your body suffers significantly after awhile.

myjah 05-16-2005 07:44 PM

I'm scared to click it. I'm addicted to their Chicken Nuggets.

there is not a day that goes by that I don't eat some form of fast food

i am in 100% perfect health according to my doctor...i have no heart or cholesterol problems, and I can run a mile with no problems other than lungs from smoking

theres people that actually eat McD's 3-4 times a day, this is just a wake-up call of what it does to a persons body, no matter if the person was a vegan or not. it still shocks the body, slows down the metabolism is mostly pure fat & super high in calories & artery-clogging grease.

see the big picture for what it is, and not 1 specfic of "he was a vegan". its besides the point. :2 cents:

i am a avid fast food eater, and I have NO health problems...like I said above, i have eaten fast food at least once a day for over 13 years...nothing has happened to me...and yeah, you will say "just wait"...and I will...i have NO health problems whatsoever, and that is coming from a doctor who worked me up with a intense physical because I was worried

jace

do we know each other?

did it occur to you that i might have read up on the subject?

before opening that shitter you call a mouth and spew the typical GFY expressions, please use that gray matter before posting your baseless comments and throw in a class or two on reading comprehension also.

i never said mcdonalds DIDNT use 100% beef. i said the parts of 1,000 cows goes into the making one ground beef patti.

all comercial ground beef comes from the cheapest cuts and other cow parts.

do you really think mcd's is using ny strip or the most expensive parts of a cow to make their patties and the cows are grass fed? :1orglaugh

do your homework on what mcdonalds say they use - their website says it uses "100% pure beef" which is any edible part of a cow.

they dont advertise

USDA PRIME

USDA CHOICE

USDA SELECT

USDA YEILD

Mc d follows the USDA Mandatory Inspection

The mandatory inspection concentrates on the safety and wholesomeness of the meat and not necessarily the quality.

this is what mcd's follows in regards to beef - taken from their site

McDonald's Beef Safety Fact Sheet

McDonald's Prohibits Specific Risk Materials (SRM): McDonald's has long-standing, rigorous controls for our suppliers that require the strict segregation of all Specific Risk Materials (SRM) in the production plants where we do business. McDonald?s has never allowed the use of SRMs.

McDonald's Prohibits the Use of AMR (Advanced Meat Recovery): McDonald's has never permitted the use of AMR in our beef supply system, and never will.

McDonald's Prohibits "Downers": McDonald's does not allow the use of "downer" cattle.

McDonald's Demands Feed Grain Certification for All Suppliers: In 2001, McDonald's created and implemented a stringent feed grain certification program that requires signed affidavits from our suppliers that verify that their animals have been fed in 100% compliance with federal guidelines. This requirement ensures that cattle in McDonald's supply chain are fed with only safe and wholesome feed - in compliance with the feed ban implemented in 1997 by the USDA.

McDonald's Requires Independent Audits for All Supplier Facilities: McDonald's conducts regular, independent, third-party audits of McDonald's supplier facilities, including unannounced audits. These comprehensive audits safeguard that the strict policies above have been adhered to throughout the supply chain process.

see ya at the drive through :thumbsup

oh geez. you are fucking blind man. i have a personal training certification which includes thorough knowledge of nutrition.

it isn't only mcdonalds / fast food that is really bad for you, but it's most of the shit found in grocery stores as well. it all comes down to calories and macronutrients. Protein, Carbohydrates, Fats. Those three are the primary aspects of nutrition to concern yourself with when determining if a particular food item is healthy or unhealthy...

have you EVER taken a look at the god damn mcdonalds nutrition fact sheet? if you haven't, i suggest you do, right fucking now. Their chicken selects are 1,200 calories with like 80-90g of fucking FAT!!!! Their salads contain something like 30g of fat. How the FUCK is this possible in a god damn SALAD is beyond me...

but if you think for one second, that habitually consuming this amount of fat and the amount of bad (simple) carbohydrates isn't hurting your body - then you need a serious reality check. do yourself a favor and tally up how many calories you consume daily and seperate them by protein / carbs / fats. assuming you're 210 5'10 or so, that number ideally would be around 2,100 calories with approx 50% carbs (COMPLEX CARBS, the good carbs that are found in most healthy natural foods), 35% protein, and 15% fat - (There are 4 calories per every 1g of carb and protein, and 9 calories per every 1g of fat, so you do the math). -- also, depending on how active you are, these numbers will change (particularly the carbs since they provide energy).

After doing that, if you find that you're consuming a shitload of fat (which you probably are if you're eating mcdonalds, because most of their menu items = 40 to 70g of SATURATED fat) then you are hurting your body, regardless of what your doc says. it is proven that diets high in fat and simple carbs are the #1 reasons for many of the health issues america faces today.

Jace 05-16-2005 09:48 PM

i guess i am gunna die when I am 40 then, cause all i do is consume fat....and lots of it

my eating since I was 18-20 years old:
i eat one meal a day, which is usually some sort of fast food...when I am not eating that one meal a day I consume snickers bars, coca cola C2's, slurpees, nachos, dr. pepper, chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches and beer....i shit you not, this is my diet

my poop is always brown, firm and flows out of me easily...my pee is almost always clear and/or light yellow and never smells...i can run 1 mile pretty easily (smoking hurts me there), and I work out every day lifting weights and riding a bike or skateboard

when I was 18 people said my habits will catch up to me when I am 25, when I was 25 peoploe said it will catch up when I am 30, now that I am 30 they say it will catch up to me when I am 40

guess we will all see

side note: my grandfather (mom's side) and my grandmother (dad's side) ate terrible compared to todays standards, they put 1 stick of butter in everything they ate, they added sugar to everything, they ate like shit according to anyone average person half their age...my grandfather is in perfect health (just talked to him today), and my grandmother lived to 89
