I ONLY EAT ONCE A DAY...Is There Something WRONG WIth Me???
 
I am 6'1" - 190lb in decent shape. I only eat 1 meal a day, usually around 2 pm. Today I had a chicken sandwich, order of fries and a coke from Wendy's...that is about my average meal. Is it possible that my system/metabolism is just really slow. I used to eat non-stop when I was a little shit and I was skin and bone. :helpme

So long as you don't feel ill from lack of food (have symptops such as headaches, stomach aches and so on), you're fine

I was working out heavy weights every three days but fell off, usually work out every three for about 2 months then 2 off - no real cardio

well with heavy weights you're practically gaining excess mass, and with no cardio you're not shedding fat really... You might have a metabolism problem aswell.. but then again I'm no doctor.

Yeah, I eat about once a day too. I'm 6'3, I'm very active but I'm just not hungry. Can't force feed myself, it makes me sick. Guess I'll do something about it in the future. :thumbsup

Worst thing is A friend of mine is about 6' 140-150 and eats non-stop. He eats 5-6 times a day, (sandwich/fries/coke size meal). He is a garbage disposal. I can't spend more than an hour or so around him because he wants to eat every 2 hours!

that cant be healthy for you, especially if you're only meal of the day is wendys. you cant possibly be getting the vitimins and stuff that you need.

fried foods (eg: fast food) slows your metabolism down to damn near nothing.
plus, sitting all day (workin online) will also slow it to hault very fast...hence, the reason why you're not hungry.

stop eating junk food, stop drinking soda all together, walk 1 mile a day (about 30 mins of a good paced walk), and drink as much water as you can AND TAKE A MULTIVITAMIN DAILY (get Centruium Metabolism)

The problem is, eating only once a daily, your probably not getting all the nutrients you're body needs. Which will eventually catch up to you and cause a lot of health problems. Are you taking multi-vitamins or other nutritional supplements on a daily basis?

i've been eating basically one meal a day for the last 25 years...although it seems that all the vitamins and supplements that my gf has me on are a meal all in themselves :1orglaugh

For every pound of muscle a man gains, he burns off 50 to 90 more calories an hour.

I think it's more habit than anything else that you eat once a day. I have trained myself to eat at least 5, with shakes and protein bars taking up the slack where a full meal won't do.

Smaller meals broken up across the day actually help you lose weight, you are always feeding the machine which in turn burns calories.

Not weird - I ate only once yesterday, a plain bologni sandwhich at about 2am.
