What would you do?

Ok, if your best friend is having a party (no special occasion) and the party gets dumb around 3:30am, but she still expects everyone to crash at her house, would you stick it out, or just go home (10 mins away) to sleep in your own bed?

Cuz I feel bad, but I just went home. I couldn't take being the only sober one around a bunch of drunk people any longer, and so sue me, I wanted to sleep in a bed and not on a loveseat. :(

Fake Nick 11-28-2004 05:19 AM

misty_dayz 11-28-2004 06:11 AM

don't feel bad at all...i wouldn't have stayed either...someone would have probably puked on you during the night anyways

NoCarrier 11-28-2004 06:17 AM

You are not a real friend if you don't dance naked in the living room until 6 am.

kmanrox 11-28-2004 06:21 AM

it wasnt a party if you werent drunk :warning

Mutt 11-28-2004 06:24 AM

don't worry so much about what other people expect, think and want of you, do what is right for you - sounds like a real dopey idea to me that a 16 year old would get in her head.

VirtuMike 11-28-2004 07:05 AM

The answer is PAINFULLY obvious.

You go home, tell me you love me, ask if I'd like a sandwich, and pleasure me as best you can with tips you read from Cosmo. Then you clean up and pass out from exhaustion.

DUH!

sean416 11-28-2004 07:12 AM

I dont do 'sleepovers'. So IMO you made the right choice.

ClamSmacker 11-28-2004 07:17 AM

If the talent wasn't that good, I would go home too!

who 11-28-2004 07:18 AM

Get back over there at 9am and cook them a big oily breakfast and pretend you've been there the whole time.

xclusive 11-28-2004 07:22 AM

I will always pick my bed if they are going to complain time to get some more grown up friends...:2 cents:

LOL, why feel bad? It is kind of like sex, if you didn't have any fun, tell the person. Maybe they will want to find out what they did wrong, or how to make it better for you. I would have went home too, but I would have told them I was leaving because they are a bunch of drunk bastards. So I might not get invited again, or just maybe, they will have two beautiful women waiting there to entertain me when I get there. Either way I won't be bored to death.

Elli 11-28-2004 11:55 AM

Wow, that is so cool that you guys think that way! I thought I made some huge faux pas, but I guess not.

She just called me and wanted to know if I was coming over for breakfast, so she can't be that mad. :)

sickkittens 11-28-2004 11:56 AM

I would go home. She'll get over it I'm sure. :winkwink:

netnut 11-28-2004 12:08 PM

agreed...

...honesty is a nice way to go esp with friends...if I can't be blunt and honest with friends then something's wrong...and on the flip side if they aren't observant enough to understand how something was sucking.... then .....well......uhmmm....

KRL 11-28-2004 12:11 PM

The nice thing about drunks is they won't remember shit the next day.

tony286 11-28-2004 12:13 PM

I agree with you I would sleep at home and being the only sober . Drunk people can wear thin after awhile .

This always works... guilt is leverage you can use against friends after having to put up with their drunken behavior when you were sober :thumbsup

Pete 11-28-2004 12:49 PM

Party pooper.

For once I agree with you. :) I have little patience for drunks after about the fourth hour of their silliness.

The worst is when they want to have a serious conversation about something they could never talk about sober, and you're supposed to take them seriously. I mean, if you're going to have a heartfelt conversation with me, don't try it when you're blasted out of your tree. Geez.

aww.. i hate when the happens, i know exactly how you feel... you really just cant stick around, mainly because its your good friend and you dont want them to feel hurt by you wanting to bail, but you just cant fucking take it... i have left a few times, but mainly i just try to drink myself to passout and ill leave in the morning

I would go wherever you would go to. with your consent of course....

KCat 11-28-2004 02:13 PM

Hey girl! We're too old to still be partying all night & crashing on somebody's couch. :winkwink:

I always want the comforts of my own bed, especially after a night of drinking.

Mike Okitch 11-28-2004 02:13 PM

You did the right thing. Crashing on the sofa is something that always felt ackward to me drunk or not.

Thank you! That's exactly how I feel! One of the girls who was with us was pissed that her bf didn't get her a hotel room like he said he would, but it was 2am so all the local ones were closed, and they were both too drunk to drive anyway. I'm not sure where they ended up. :)

Bigjohn 11-28-2004 03:33 PM

No doubt that what you did was okay. When I'm ready to sleep I want to be comfortable, not curled up on some hard floor :thumbsup

Xenophage 11-28-2004 04:59 PM
