Farenheit 9/11 pulled from On Demand!
 

Was really suprised to hear the news from Michael Moore tonite on Leno that his movie that was supposed to be aired on a "pay per view" type of channel on cable called "On Demand" the night before the election has been pulled.

He said he had a contract and everything signed but that Comcast or WHOEVER he negotiated with backed out of it saying it was "too political" and thus too many legal issues to be shown then.

What did they think they were getting when they first agreed to this..a cooking show?

But Moore has offered the Sinclair stations who are going to air the anti-Kerry movie HIS movie, free of charge to air on their 62 stations to see if they really are "fair and balanced."

Man..the airwaves and those who own them are whacked sometimes.

at least anyone following this will get to see how biased Sinclair is when they reject Moore's offer and only show pro bush shit.

That too..plus I'm looking forward to the lawsuit Moore said that he's going to file against On Demand.

Moore should rent out 90 mins on all the local access stations across the nation and play the movie there.

And he's made over $500 MILLION on this flick!

I don't see how in reality.. it's common knowledge that Bush and co are pushing for stricter standards on TV and radio and everywhere.. They are pushing major fines on the media outlets for what they conceder indecency. I don't see how having Bush in office could be a good thing for the media companies.. In fact I can't believe they are not doing everything in their power to help push Bush out.

the company that is cancelling this program is in demand, the pay per view people. this was not a simple airing of the documentary. it was to be a 3 hour pre-election special featuring the film. moore made a deal with in demand and in demand has decided to pooch the deal.

Moore try's to be objective. Sure he may have some facts backwards, but the general idea of the movie( or any documentry ) is for you to take the facts and draw your own conclusions.

Moore obviously makes several points in his movie that he KNOWS is not true , in order to push his agenda. This is not cool , but much of what he says is not new news, its just put in a prospective that may make in more clear.

Other points he makes in the movie are so shady they completely overshadow the real problems..

EXAMPLE.

Moore makes it seem in the movie and in his ads, that saudi family members and members of osama's family were flown out of the u.s.a. secretly while all other planes were grounded.

The truth is they flew out when everyone else did, because they had money , just like any other rich american would have been allowed to.

But they forget to drill home the important facts that are real like why did they let these guys fly out if they knew they might be involved.

Moore forgot to mention that everyone who was allowed to leave was still screened as a security risk and all of those people even though they were family members were cleared. That why he had access to the info.

but other independent investigators as well.

He said last nite on Leno that the movie had made over 1/2 billion worldwide.

I was thinking that. Think of the irony..decades from now in the history books they would be writing "that the difference in the election came down to one dude in New Hampshire that saw F9/11 the nite before the election & put Kerry over the top in that state & the electoral college. So John Kerry had a fat film producer to thank for electing him Prez!"

Moores stated on Leno that he wanted to offer the movie to Sinclair free of charge. He just wants it aired at/around the same time as the anti Kerry film. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.
