Cubans show is just so dumb. First of all none of the candidates from the beginning really stood out. They all looked like rejects.

The only reason Trump isn't broke right now is because banks couldn't afford to let him fail!!! They had too much money tied up in Trump to let him fail so they were forced to bail is sorry ass out! For the people that know, he's not a very good business man.

I think Trump has more but Cuban knows how to spend his better. :2 cents:

trump was given more to start with

cuban was an entrepreneur.

And through bad business decisions nearly lost it all before the banks were forced to bail him out. Trump took a lot and depended on financial instutions to get him back. Cuban built it from scratch and has a much better chance at keeping it and making it grow. :2 cents:

I dont think Trump is worth as much as forbes said.

cuban's is real. trump loves debt. i doubt seriously his net worth according to forbes takes into account all the debt he has, as well as some of the very complicated partnerships he's involved in. he doesnt even own a bunch of the stuff with his name on it, he just has management rights, etc.

Did you see the 20/20 piece about Trump a few weeks ago? It turns out he doesn't own what we think he does. He's got many partners and financial backers... still the man no doubt

Trump is way beyond Cuban. Not even close.

Trump's name alone adds 25% value to buildings.

25% for his name alone.

His competitors acknowledge that fact.

these are Billion dollar projects in real estate, and ppl are tripping over their dicks to do deals with trump where he is putting very little of his own cash into these things.

I read Mark Cuban's blog from time to time. His blog is a little heavy on the sports talk, but Mark's got some fairly good business insights. He's also working on a new search engine. ..kinda cool

Yes, but you have to understand that when you deal in real estate, debt is good (as long as you don't over extend). It's LEVERAGE. The more you borrow, the better your ROI. If you can control a property with none of your own money, (and then gain positive cash flow and some appreciation), your ROI is infinite! :winkwink:

Cuban is certainly WAY more liquid than Trump, meaning he's got plenty of cold hard dollaz at his disposal.

Whereas Trump has much of his wrapped up in real estate.

That's the drawback of Real Estate. It's illiquid. :(

Funny thing is that Yahoo bought broadcast.com from Cuban for 2 Billion. Looks like Yahoo paid 2 billion for a domain name!!

people dont realize how much money cuban has because he doesnt show it off much. hell owning the dallas mavericks is huge but other than that most people dont know anything about him.

Cuban is an awkward geek, a couch potato sports fan, who doesn't have 1% of Trump's charisma and power. Even if Trump went bankrupt, he'd be right back on top within a year or two.

Once Trump fully develops his railyards property, he'll be worth another $B :P
