ARS having cash issues. Reward Orders over 1 month delayed!!!

Looks like ARS is having some SERIOUS issues.....they still havent managed to send out or confirm my reward order from May 4th, 2004! They have a backlog of some 500+ rewards to give out now and are getting to the point where they are now giving lower priority to webmasters who've stopped sending traffic but still have points and overdue reward orders!

I'd be really wary if you're still promoting ARS...proceed with caution.

Check out the following, for example, posted on their boards by one of their staff. Still on the 3rd after 10 days!! Does it really take 10 days to send out orders from just one day?

Your order was received in the orde queue on the 19th and I am currently
making orders for the 3rd, this will give you an idea of how backed up
we are.

It will be a while yet, I am still working on the orders that came in on
the 3rd.

Watch out what you put in the title. And it's a FREE GIFT to YOU, so be patient.

EviLGuY 06-05-2004 03:35 PM

Yeah.. they aren't in the REWARDS business. Thats just a bonus.

As long as your checks are on time....

jact 06-05-2004 03:35 PM

Can you imagine the volume of rewards they have to deal with after however long they had rewards disabled? Come on, get a fucking clue you vulture. :2 cents:

cherrylula 06-05-2004 03:38 PM

maybe they need the cash for sigs :winkwink:

jacked 06-05-2004 03:38 PM

WiredGuy 06-05-2004 03:44 PM

Your thread title is very misleading. They are behind on their rewards, not cash. If they weren't paying affiliates, there would have a shit storm.

thank you marc de for being so genorous to mere mortals like me...

mastamind 06-05-2004 04:24 PM

as long as the paychecks keep coming on time I wouldnt stress out that your reward is a little late

angelsofporn 06-05-2004 04:42 PM

i put in an order 2 months ago and last week i decided to check on it cuz it's not here. And the order was cancelled for some reason..no explanation. Have way more rewards points then needed to cover the item. Didnt even bother to go through it again.

Mr Pheer 06-05-2004 04:45 PM

I keep cashing in my cecash points for home depot gift cards

Wheres Amber when you need some ARS answers?

Sly_RJ 06-05-2004 04:54 PM

Didn't they put a hold on the program a couple months back so that they can get structured and reorganized?

And to everyone that says "be happy you're getting free stuff!", don't kid yourself. The rewards program was created as an incentive to send traffic to ARS and not other programs. It isn't just "free stuff", it's part of payment and anyone wondering where their reward items are is perfectly justified.

KRL 06-05-2004 04:56 PM

The day ARS starts having cash problems is the day its time to exit this industry.

I agree, I think he has a right to complain, even though the title was a bit misleading. It shouldn't take a month to send out the orders for a single day.

crockett 06-05-2004 05:50 PM

Dude don't give all the ARS sig whores a heart attack..

I get my check every week on time...

merlin77 06-05-2004 08:02 PM

WTF?? It's free! Do we know what FREE means? It means they chose to give you a perk, they are not obligated to do it. Checks come, who cares about freebies!!!!!

Illicit 06-05-2004 08:04 PM

You know what this means right ???? People are making alot of $$ with ARS. Rewards are the result of making money. If you too want to make money, see the freakin sig :thumbsup

sexxxychat69 06-05-2004 08:05 PM

that sucks :( I'm sure they will get it resolved

ARS changed their sites in an attempt to "make things better" for themselves. In the process they lowered webmaster payouts and stopped giving credit for traffic being sent to their old sites. Looking at it from a webmaster perspective, these changes were not for the better.

Whats most lame, is they are not even doing anything unique. They are simply copying a business model that has already been done by every other sponsor out there.

This is my interpretation of ARS...
"Lets cash in on reality sites, there are lots of sheep and newbies who will continue to promote us no matter how many times we fuck them over."

Very true. Add that to the fact that they didn't even give notice of what they were going to do when they had the opportunity to do so. ARS is a bad choice to send traffic to. They will most likely screw you over eventually.
