ARS changed their sites in an attempt to "make things better" for themselves. In the process they lowered webmaster payouts and stopped giving credit for traffic being sent to their old sites. Looking at it from a webmaster perspective, these changes were not for the better.

Whats most lame, is they are not even doing anything unique. They are simply copying a business model that has already been done by every other sponsor out there.

This is my interpretation of ARS...
"Lets cash in on reality sites, there are lots of sheep and newbies who will continue to promote us no matter how many times we fuck them over."

Do you even know what the fuck happened? The old sites were never ARS sites to begin with, they were simply marketing them for GIM. Once they severed their relationship with GIM they could no longer market those sites and had to produce their own. They didn't fuck over anyone, they gave plenty of notice as to when their contract was up with GIM and affiliates would no longer be able to market them. Funny how you are scolding others for not knowing what they are talking about when you seem completely clueless on the situation.

Very true. Add that to the fact that they didn't even give notice of what they were going to do when they had the opportunity to do so. ARS is a bad choice to send traffic to. They will most likely screw you over eventually.
Bullshit, they gave over 2 months notice to their webmasters as to when they would no longer be paying on the old GIM sites.

Looks like ARS is having some SERIOUS issues.....they still havent managed to send out or confirm my reward order from May 4th, 2004! They have a backlog of some 500+ rewards to give out now and are getting to the point where they are now giving lower priority to webmasters who've stopped sending traffic but still have points and overdue reward orders!

They received over 300k in orders after they reopened their new rewards store and are working their way through the orders.

I must have missed the email that said "we are going to feed our new ppc engine with all your existing links and pay you pennies for your traffic"

Sounds like you have not been around too long if you think that is where the timeline really starts for those sites and their relationship to each other.

Been with ARS since the beginning and am fully aware of their relationship with GIM, where did I talk about their history timeline in my previous post?

I dont care if they were marketing sites for GIM or Pope John Paul II. That doesnt change the fact that they made a business decision which screwed over thousands of webmasters. Do you think webmasters that built 100's of AVS sites, 100's of TGP galleries, 100's of free site galleries promoting ARS websites did not feel like they were screwed over once they heard the news that ARS was shutting down all their old sites? I cant believe you have the nerve to say "They didnt fuck over anyone".

For the last time, they weren't ARS sites to shut down, they severed their relationship with GIM and GIM regained control of marketing for their sites. Companies have to make decisions to stay profitable and secure long term stability. ARS had to make changes in order to survive, yet you feel they should have just continued on their current path soley for the sake of not upsetting webmasters who didn't want to change out their links? Your narrowminded view of business suggests that programs should just continue on their merry way do whatever is absolutely best for their webmasters completely disregarding any obligaton to remain profitable. ARS old model had become very unprofitable and changes needed to occur in order to survive. They gave plenty of warning of the upcoming changes and their webmasters had plenty of time to swap out their links. So tell me again how they fucked over all their webmasters?
