Who Has The Best Special Forces
 

All my life I've been told Navy Seals are the most elite special forces on earth.

Am I just told this because I am an American, or is this true? Who else has a hardcore program? I've always wondered what would happen if these guys went up against each other...

Most of the top American forces are taught by Canadians... doesn't mean that we have the best. We don't. But our forces can train the best.

It's strange how that works.

From my understanding the Russian Spetnaz were the best during the Cold War Era. It's probably the SEALS now because of their technologically advanced munitions and training.

that's a very good point, i remember in middle school seeing The Rock (the movie not the wrestler) and that shit MADE me wanna be one...but im a pussy lol...gave up on that idea real quick...but that technology was crazy.

Navy SEALs with charlie sheen was good too, bill paxton had a .50 caliber sniper rifle with an infrared scope, he saw people through walls and shit and blew the wall away... nuts...haha

Aside from the obvious U.S. Spec Ops such as SEALS, Rangers, Special Forces, Force Recon etc. you have some bad ass units such as the IDF Special Forces and the French Foreign Legion. I was on a real world mission with the FFL and those guys always cracked me up. They were squared away. Also did a jump exchange with the IDF.

Well the german KSK is not bad and the GSG9 is also top notch.

A lot of countries has special troops and they are mostly trained from internatinal experts - no big difference if you ask me.

I think every country is brought up to believe their guys are the best of the best, in the UK the SAS are considered the best in the world

Don´t laugh the french foreign legion is one of the best trained armies on this planet.
You better do some research about this guys.

doesn't delta force pick the best from all the services' special forces...so in effect...they would be the best of the best for the USA.

i mean as civilians we only have the history that THEY let become public to judge...

I've read a few books written by SEALs, its interesting, but there must be shit that happens that we can't imagine...

From what i´ve read and experianced during my time in the military my list would be:

1. UK - Special Air Service (SAS)

2. DK - Hunter Force (yeah its a small country but these guys are elite)

3. Navy Seals

4. LAPD Swat - yeah im no kidding here - those guys arent just wannabe soldiers.

5. South African Hunter Force (well they were good when i was in the military).

The French Foreign Legion isn´t a special force, its an army unit consisting of all the trash and criminals who fled their home country - well its true more or less

Yeah thats Denmark - well they are similar to the SAS and Navy Seals, and very often train and compete against these units. Its a very small unit which is 100% covert - the public ever gets any information on where they have been sent too. And unlike the rest of the danish military they get all the latest high tech equipment you can think of.

I'd say Delta Force comes in a second, their up there with the Navy SEALS.

I dont know - but that was the idea i got while speaking to soldiers from around the world - including us soldiers during my "visit" in bosnia.
