McDonalds To Start Taking Credit Cards
 

McDonald's announced you'll be able to pay for meals using credit and debit cards now at their 13,600 restaurants.

Pretty lame if you have to charge .99 cents fries.

Wonder why they did that?

They already have that here...and it' s not lame it's convenient.

I rarely carry cash with me anymore...I just use the ol' Visa check card.

They will make soo much more, Taco bell already accepts debit cards. Think about it, you want a burger but dont have cash on ya... dont wanna run o the bank... makes it easy... eventually it will seem odd to pay with cash, you all will see.

ummm all Mcdonalds here already have debit. So the mcdonalds in the US only accepted cash and only cash

I have been able to pay via creditcard for a few years now it seems..or atleast seen the Terminals for Creditcards.

The one near my office gets a ton of fatties. They really load up on the burgers.

I went in last week and showed them a bank card and it was a full out code blue emergency ... total panic cause the bitch couldnt use the machine properly ..

I ended up telling her to fuck off and went to the bank .

When I was 18 I was almost charged with assault following a mcdonalds run in ..

I had ordered a Happy meal for my girlfriend at the time , and I sat there and watched the guy just stand like a chump for like 4 minutes as my order just sat there .. so I slapped him in the head and yelled " WAKE THE FUCK UP JAMTART " you shoulda seen this idiot too .. just the look of him is what caused me to do that I think . complete retard

didnt go over well .. police , restraining orders , but luckily no charges :)

They already do it here too, I guess its up to the individual owner now, but they are making it mandatory?

You've been able to pay with cards for a few months in the UK

so everyday mcdonalds employees now potentially have access to people entire bank account by charging some fries if you use a check card?

i wouldnt trust some of these people with that info.

Yep 99% of the fast food places here have been setup for credit for years. I hardly ever carry cash.

A lot of people use debit cards. at the airport in pheniox you don't even have to sign the slip

No it's ran like any other point of purchase sale...they scan your card give you a keypad you type in your code voila your meal is paid for.

It's great for a society that loves to eat at fast food, now you can eat there even if you have no cash on hand. The FAT GET FATTER!

Not sure about McDonald's, but at Wendy's here they take credit cards. My friends use their cards all the time. I find it hilarious, but whatevers convenient I guess. I'll never use it, I'm cash only as far as offline purchases go. But then again, I do buy almost everything online. :)

i disagree. i used my credit card for everything possible. i dont like carrying as much cash, and i really dont like getting loose change. i dont use it for the credit because i pay it off every month, but its so much easier to use the credit card. not to mention i get 1% cash back in home depot gift certificates.

thats only for debit cards, you sign it for credit cards. but i dont think you have to worry about some burger flipper "getting into your bank account". if he was that smart he wouldnt be working at mcdonalds in the first place. and its not really that hard to do a chargeback if something really does happen.

It's about convenience in shopping, it's about pulling in more cash for the companies who now provide this..it's fucking business.

Just about every place of business accepts credit cards, and more every day are accepting check cards..so what's the big deal with McDonald's doing it...seriously people need some bigger news in their lives...LOL

Rarely carry cash anymor, it's becoming like Europe now, everything is debit card this, debit card that...

I managed for Taco Bell for 7 years...of course there weren't always the brightest bulbs there, but most of it were just kids who didn't really care.

Anyway my point is this...people worry about a 16 year old stealing their credit card information, however they just gladly hand over their card to the waiter at Chilis...let me just break it to you people...he/she is not much older or smarter.

They have been doing that at all the McDonald's here in AZ for awhile now. I have to admit, that I have used my debit there a couple times. :)
