First 5 rounds I had it 4-1 for whitey. . . . and that was debatable.

in the 6th round the brutha opened up the honkies eye with the back of his glove. At about the same time, Lewis started waking up. The fight did take a turn.

However, we will never know since the fight was stopped by the ref, on advice of the ring doctor, because of the eye.

The really sad thing is that Foreman said he would come out of retirement if the honky won. Guess we will have to wait on that.

i thought lennox had it when I saw Vitali in the first 30 seconds... that guy looked like his style was just, sloppy. But Vitali blew it I think, cuz he HAD Lennox quite afew times and could have done him away, but he wasnt agressive when he needed to be.

Vitali would have fucking blead to death, he never would have made it, so maby Lennox had lost the first few rounds, but it was clear that he was going to win after that cut.
Lennox Lewis makes the top 10 of the greatest heavyweight fighters of all times. Those Klitschko brothers are just another hype, of course they will have impressive records if they make them fight complete losers and over the hill burnouts.
If Lennox would have bothered to get in any shape he would have finished this fight in 10 seconds!

The cut was caused by punches from Lewis. There are many ways to win in boxing, and one of those ways is to bash up someone's face so bad that the dr. stops the fight. That's not just luck, it's strategy. I was sad that it ended early too, but Lewis did what he needed to do to win.

Lewis was getting the shit beat out of him for awhile - he even said so himself but look what he did to the guys face! Lewis was starting to kick his ass and I think he would have won it in the next few rounds.

There will also be no re match...

Plus the score card was 58-56 - Lewis was not very far back.

correct me if i'm wrong, but if you hit a guy on the face with the glove at a certain angle, on the side, can't it cause a cut a lot easier opposed to a straight dead on punch?

i watched the whole boxing match and i did not see a single round where lewis was significantly more dominative...

of course klitch couldn't have gone on with his face like that, but hardly was it due to any dominance.

if cuts were to represent the overall dominance and fighter performance, then lewis's face would make klitch's look like a walk in the park.

i could tell klitch had a lot more endurance througout the fight, i remember at the end of one of the later rounds, lewis looked like he was gonna have a heart attack when he threw his hole body onto the chair.

yes Lewis did look like he was about to fall over a few times but look at the score card - Lewis was not too far behind and he started to do a bit better towards the end of the fight. If the cut did not happen Lewis would have won.

it was also pretty clear Lewis was not in that great of shape for this fight. Lets see how he does towards the end of this year.

Also don't forget that Lewis did not prepare for Klitschko!!
There was supposed to be another fight alltogether, he had been preparing for Kirk Johnsson, which I would say wouldn't come anywhere near Klitschko. Lewis would have beaten him with his right hand tied behinde his back, that's why he ws heavier then ever before, if it would have been clear a couple of months ago that it was Klitschko that he was fighting we would have seen a different Lennox!

how many fights have u watched where one boxer is is on top for first 5-6 rounds and then is totally fucked for the remaining rounds...

If it was caused by a glove or by punches, it makes no fuckin difference. They were right to stop it. In fact, it was inevitable. White boxers bleed more and are cut more easily, and always look like they're trying too hard. Black guys make it look prettier, and cuts don't look as nasty as they do on pale white dudes.

Want a white heavyweight champ? Get the Italian mob to fix the fights like they did for Marciano. Otherwise just watch UFC or Pridefighting Championships. Lots of white guys are champs there. :winkwink:
