Joomla is such a piece of shit
thats all i wanted to say.
|
I love wordpress thats all.
|
LOL, I wouldn't got that far, but it is a pain. You have to have Joomla on a dedicated server with its own MYSQL database or its so slow.
|
I only use it if a client insists on using it and I can't convince them otherwise.
|
Joomla rocks!!!!
|
its just so user unfriendly, and more of a headache.
from now on, im not taking on jobs converting joomla themes to wordpress, its more of a pain than its worth. |
Joomla sucks... (it's complicated, heavy and slow)
WordPress ROCKS!!! |
WP over any other similar script
|
WordPress rules. I don't know such a kind of website which can't be done with WP.

It sure is!
I fired out a few pieces of joomla this morning. |
It ain't that bad. :2 cents:
|
Joomla is dead, drupal won on cms field anyway.
|
I love Joomla!, Drupal, and Wordpress. They are all powerful and unique in their own way. If you can get yourself use to Joomla! it's a walk in the park to do anything you want.
|
WP is the way to go...
|
Knowing how to write your own website code from scratch rules.
|
I used to dick around with Joomla when i 1st got my godaddy hosting, it really is shit.
|
I like both; I don't know drupal yet

joomla sucks.,
drupal complicated but still customisable. wp, fucking awesome., |
well, not really, we're overreacting here :winkwink: But I agree that compared to WP, Joomla is really crappy and it's condemned to die pretty soon

I host / create many joomla sites , on the same dedicated server .... All depends what you are doing... |
Drupal or WP
|
agreed. it sucks.
|
Notepad FTW.
|
Wordpress the way to go for me!

I mean, there's not even a comparison, it's simply ridiculous. Then comes Joomla. And then Drupal |
wordpress rocks!
|
Fuck 'em all.

I like joomla because : - it is feature rich - it has a more' pro ' look ' - there are less updates ( WP is weekly right ? ) - once you know that it sorta works backways ( create content before menus ... ) , it is vey nice. WP is also nice , very nice themes , but I find it less professional ... As for converting themes, I did convert a wordpress theme to joomla in less then 10 minutes with ARTISTEER ... |
I wouldn't say Joomla is crap.. It just has a steeper learning curve. It has a shit load of "professional" add ons that allow you to do some pretty nice sites with it.
Wordpress is nice for what it is, but I really don't think you can do some of the more complex stuff with it, like you can with Joomla. http://modx.com/ was the one I was always hoping would gain a bigger following, but it was always more of a frame work. |

Wordpress wins hands down every damn day

Just look at the long list of Fortune 500 companies using Drupal and Wordpress. People can make Drupal do pretty much whatever they please. Wordpress too, to a lesser extent. Joomla sucks for a variety of reasons. Haven't used it since right after it forked off of Mambo. |

Just compare the list of Fortune 500 companies running websites with Joomla....what's that? Zero? Drupal has dozens. The reason you see the huge traffic difference in the two sites's because Joomla and Wordpress are the go to easy user friendly CMS's. Drupal has a steep learning curve. It is much much more powerful. Just ask the White House. But then again what do the White House and Fortune 500 companies know.....I mean this is GFY!! |
Just to name a few of the most impressive organizations and companies using Drupal
Amnesty International FedEx Forbes Nike Sanyo Disney Ubuntu Green Peace Adobe Sun Microsystems United Nations White House Nokia Symantec Yahoo Research New York Observer Popular Science Economist AOL Corporate Harvard MIT MTV UK Sony Music Warner Brothers Records Fast Company Metallica (the only artist worth mentioning out of dozens) Drupal scales. Period. And you can make it do whatever you want it to do. Where's that list for Joomla? |
Used Joolma years ago, it is bloated, very unfriendly to use and ya does just suck. I only use textpattern and WP these days.
