Post here how your call to St. Kitts bank goes

Will be nice to have them all in one place

J. Falcon 09-24-2010 06:11 AM

My friend called and they told him 2 things of importance:

1) They are working on it.
2) You cannot request wires at the moment.

beta-tester 09-24-2010 06:13 AM

yes, i just finished talking to them.... The operator told me that she doesn't have a lot of information about the visa cards balance not showing up, as well as that they are "working" on it to have it solved. They also said that the Upper management is on the meeting right now and that they are working on a "strategy" to get our money back.

They said to follow their site as they will be posting information there. On my mention of a lawyer she said: "You don't need to contact lawyer, this will be solved". I give them couple of hours to release information on either their website or via epass. Then I am going legal way....

candyx 09-24-2010 06:17 AM

they said the technicians are working on restoring the system so we can access our funds . It should be before or on the 30th of Sept that we can access them. They said keep checking the website
They will post information on what is gonna be needed and how to access the funds
So it looks like by the 30th we will be able to access the funds through St. Kitts.

Domain Broker 09-24-2010 06:20 AM

Interesting, it's good to see that they are acknowledging this and taking it seriously (or so it seems).

i must admit that i started losing my hope.... but we'll see.... From now on the war begins!

USUALENT 09-24-2010 06:44 AM

I dont see how this is promising when its been the same shit for 3 weeks..

adult-help 09-24-2010 06:49 AM

interesting that bank is now giving out the hope all will be well..

what if this was the cunning plan of mallick: negotiations failed , they shut down the accces to querying bank and he just sent all the angry epass user their way...now that they are harrasing them maybe they will rethink it and say : fuck it, lets turn the visas back on..

one can dream...

sf86 09-24-2010 06:53 AM

I guess they don't trust Epassporte anymore and thus cut all their business ties with them but there's still a possibility that we'll get our money back (directly from them). At least that's what I hope.

Barry-xlovecam 09-24-2010 07:10 AM

If the funds are accessible on or near September 30th that would be in less than a week ? that would seem acceptable. Even if further time was involved with documentation ? at least this is the first date (time certain) that we have been told in three weeks.

This is a regulated bank telling us this ( according to the post above.) I am cautiously optimistic it may be possible to recover the funds thus resolving any disputed amounts.

18teens 09-24-2010 07:14 AM

I just called. The customer service rep told me "Epassporte has been closed" and they are working to get everyone's funds to them by the 30th. To verify I asked "so Epassporte is being closed?" and she replied "no sir, Epassporte has already been closed".

She assured me that our funds are safe and we will be able to access them by the 30th. She said some people will get wires and others will have their Visa cards turned back on.

beta-tester 09-24-2010 07:16 AM

haha, interesting reply you got 18teens....

adult-help 09-24-2010 07:21 AM

so now it is suddenly opposite? funds in bank are safe and we lost the funds in epass wallet?this is madness. ..

adult-help 09-24-2010 07:23 AM

and epass is closed and michael o doesn't know anything? or was he playing us all along?

nice exit strategy epassporte.. fuckers

Sid70 09-24-2010 07:29 AM

Simply emailed asking to open an account remotely and transfer my balance to them. Got approved in one day, waiting on my new debit card in the mail. Simple.

Barefootsies 09-24-2010 07:30 AM

Based on the impatience of the replies with ePass and this situation, I can see that many on GFY have never dealt with a merchant bank, VISA, or the government on anything. Once they get involved, it can take MONTHS to resolve anything.

It is not VISA or the merchant bank's fault you had kept your life savings in there, or used your ePASS as a bank account. That was an error in judgment on your part.

That said, I hope that this is resolved so people (myself included) can get our collective monies out of there. From the endless threads on this matter, some have tens or hundreds of thousands tied up in there. So I can only imagine their sleepless nights, and misery.

Best of luck, and cross your toes on the 30th.

halfpint 09-24-2010 07:32 AM

I have just spoken to them too via a phone call and this is what I have been told

They are working on getting the funds back to people by the 30th of October

They wouldent tell me why it was suspended

I asked how we would be getting our money back to which she replied

Some people will be able to use thier cards again and some will get their money by other means.

She also said that we willl be kept informed of the situation via thier website

BTW if anybody wants the national dialling code from the Uk to phone St Kitts bank it is 001 869 465 2204

fluff 09-24-2010 07:32 AM

My epassporte visa debit is going to expire by 31st October. Hopefully everything gets fixed by then so I don't have to worry about not being able to get my funds just because my card expired or something!

Agent 488 09-24-2010 07:36 AM

so we have ti find epass is closed by a call to some third world bank? class act mr. mallick. karma will be a bitch.

beta-tester 09-24-2010 07:37 AM

Adultmix, yes what are you talking about?

Domain Broker 09-24-2010 07:42 AM

St. Kitts bank is the one that issues the Visa cards, so if your card will expire then I'm sure they'll be able to accommodate you.

SmokeyTheBear 09-24-2010 07:53 AM

Just to let people know i had spoke to the st kitts bank several times since the shit first hit the fan, and they also strung me along. First and foremost they told me my card would be turned back on , secondly they told me their relationship with epassporte HAD NOT CHANGED ( i.e. still partners )

just so we have some basis established as to what they have been telling people compared to what they are saying now.

SO far i have heard a few versions sep30 cutoff or oct 30 cutoff

I would hazard a guess they are telling you whatever you would like to hear to get you off the phone. Other than you are getting your money back any time soon.

:2 cents:

nico-t 09-24-2010 08:04 AM

so what is it? September or october the 30th?

mOBSCENE 09-24-2010 08:05 AM

Some have taken matters into their own hands in Florida...

Negotiators will have to tell them they have hit the wrong bank :Oh crap

gleem 09-24-2010 08:08 AM

anyone who says "no need to call a lawyer your money is safe" you need to be calling your lawyer immediately...

don't be suckers, how long will you let epass/st kitts string you along?

Sid70 09-24-2010 08:09 AM

I can read Internetz : https://www.sknanb.com/visa%20card.htm !

Agent 488 09-24-2010 08:13 AM

they said they can transfer your epass balance to that card or is that just more engrish?

maccsta 09-24-2010 08:13 AM

Just got off the phone to them, basically a fob off. There will be annoucement by the end of the month on their website: https://www.sknanb.com/

wild johnny 09-24-2010 08:15 AM

I was going to call the bank today. But now I will wait a few days and see how this plays out.

Finally some hopeful news though..

maccsta 09-24-2010 08:18 AM

Just rang them again, you can withdraw your money, but you need to do it in person.
