This post is for those who are serious in this business and have a genuine desire to help others. I'm tired of feeling like a three-legged cat trying to bury turds in a frozen pond, so I am going out on a limb here. I'm letting it all out, so if you can feel a bit of rough sarcasm rising up inside of you, inspiring you to spit fire, then please, do not read any further.

If anyone has seen my previous posts, it's probably pretty obvious that I'm still tring to figure out how to profit from this industry. I've completely failed, due to timing.

I started researching after I ran into a site called Hosts4porn.com (a very informative site, btw), and immediately built an AVS gallery. I was happy, because it was a start.

Then, through more research, I was told that the best way to make money in this industry, without any startup capital, would be a TGP site. Not only could I make money from that, but I could also send it directly to the AVS sites I was building. Right before everyone was saying "TGP's are dying", I built one, www.discoverxxx.com (very bad host, so it prolly won't load). I stopped short of getting two key tools, a TGP script and a Traffic Trading script, because I could'nt see a formula that could convince me to invest in either programs. I became very disillusioned, and even went so far as to try to sell my sites www.discoverxxx.com and www.sexyluck.com, just to get the fuck away from it.

Everyone says that the money to be made from this industry has already been dished out about 3-5 years ago with the emergence of TGP sites and dialers. Yet I see a lot of cats that are doing just fine anyway. Which confuses the hell out of me, because the advertising affiliates offer the same programs to everyone.

It makes one on the outside think that there's something the insiders know before anyone else. Or something to that extent.

In any case, I'm tired of feeling like I'm wading through a sea of information, leading me nowhere. Originally, I got into this business because I was trying to figure out a way to go to college. All I've been doing, it seems, is directing a helluvalotta energy in the wrong direction.

I'm 21, working a full-time job at a fucking copy center, a part-time job at a screenprinting shop, and am a partner in an urban clothing line business. I'm excellent at design, implementation, selling, ad copywriting, marketing and brand management. I know the economics of and the ins and outs of business ownership and have an uncanny ability, like most good brand-managers, to formulate unique ideas together and present them for consumer appreciation. You would think that I would be able to do well in this business.

I do think I could, there just seems to be a piece to this puzzle missing. While yes, I am doing well with my business, and yes, I get paid well at my job, all I keep praying for is the opportunity to get an education-as cheesy as that sounds. Fuck the escalade, fuck the yact, fuck the mansion, I just want a BA, hopefully a Masters, one day.

In any case, this is a call for help. I know I'm going to get attacked for this, but I really don't know where else to turn in this industry. This is hard, because I know how important a rep is on these boards, but my future is more important to me than what people think of my social skills. So here goes:

If anyone out there is running things well, has had a good chunk of time and/or experience in this biz and could use a little help, please, contact me at [email protected]. I'm looking for someone with plenty of experience to kind of take me under their wing, to show me how it's done right. I'm not lazy and I do think I have a lot to offer. I can design sites and ads that will sell, I just gotta feel it, if you know what I mean. Anyway, you won't be dissapointed, and I will pull my weight.

Get real if it was that easy there would be more websites than surfers. This is an industry and just because you can get free access, free hosting and free content will make it more dificult to be a success not less.

I am about to go on month 3 and I am doing 5k/month. It is not a ton of money but fuck I'm a newbie at this porn stuff.

You need start trying different shit out to see what works for you.

Do you think AOL shares it marketing plan with Earthlink and MSN? Hell no! We can get ideas off them still though. You just need to try them and see what works. The whole CD thing worked really well with AOL now I get them all the time from MSN and Earthlink. They are trying to get a piece of what AOL made a fortune from and who knows maybe it will work.

Spend some time reading through old posts on GFY, reading the adult webmaster sites, and trying shit out with different affiliate programs or what ever your doing.

Don't expect a million bucks to be handed to you.

If something does not work, don?t fall on your face and give up, get up and try something else out. Better yet, try multiple things at the same time. What will work 1 month for you may not work another month.

To be honest, the days you could make alot of money without any upfront investment are history. If you really want to become wealthy in this business you will need some funds to get you started. (or even make a decent living)

If you do not have the funds, you should try setting up a simple site with a few models and start submitting your site to all the link lists that exist. (12 hours a day 7 days a week). But even with the last option you will need some money for content, domain name and hosting.

It's usually like that: newbs help each other out and established webmasters help each other out

This is a business after all and if you're gonna help someone you expect something in return

I have to agree. I made the same roughly as I made last year, but its still a fuck of alot more than I made 3 or 4 years ago. There has never been as much traffic in gay as there is right now. A little diluted but fucking phenominal none the less.

This is the way I earn money, I have tried many other schemes and this is the one that works.

Concentrate on the AVS's and play with the other ideas in between. Sometimes you will stumble on something that will bring you in some cash, but it is only ever a "bonus" on top of the AVS money.

Of course if you have a Credit Card with a healthy limit you can build a paysite and promote that...... you MAY make a fortune, or you may lose one.

AVS sites are no risk, free content and free hosting, in fact you dont need to spend a cent. Dont listen to the others who tell you it is impossible to do it for free...... thats what they want you to think.
