Yahoo stealing your images and removing your banners and google adwords

If the link doesnt work just go to their images search and do a site search for gfy.com

site:gfy.com like that..

then click one of the images , and look in the frame of gfy below. notice there is no banner on the top of the gfy page as there should be..

If your site has google adwords on it , they will be disabled

Wow, is it Google thats stripping out the html to load the ads or is it another reason they're disabled?

yah i didnt even realise firefox ignores the security=restricted tag..

a little known tag called securty=restricted on a frame will disable all javascript , and it appears quite a bit of other stuiff. i dont think you could possibly purchase anything while in a secruity restricted frame , because all coockies and java is disabled

p.s. im assuming you meant yahoo not google

They need a better way to filter unsafe sites, rather than filtering the site's content.

google's seems to work just fine without using the security tag . they have no right to alter the way your site was intended to be viewed as far as im concerned..

well im sure thats part of the future plans, but the general idea is not to increase their own revenue , its to make their service "better" than anyone else.s

Go to google images and type in "porn xxx" then view each image and see how many have popups , no longer exist or have framebusters to get out of googles hotlink..

now go to yahoo images and type the same search item, and you wont find one popup , one javascript , or one framebuster , because they have all been nulled..

i.e. yahoo images search is WAY better than google's simply for the fact its easier to find what you want.. the money will come later.. google has proven that..

How much money do you think google made before adwords :winkwink: .. less than nothing lol the whole idea was give away a free usefull service until you have a monopoly , then load them with ads , sell everything and build more monopoloys :)

Can't you just smack a decent JavaScript framebreaker script up? Failing that, if Yahoo disables a JavaScript one, fuck 'em over and use a PHP one - i'd like to see you disable some server-side shit... oh wait... you can't.

Conclusion: we have to spread firefox :)

actually mate - i just checked a mainstream site of mine and the frame buster did just that with the yahoo images search. But again that was with FF.

Thats because firefox doesnt have the functionality to put sites into a restricted security zone.. Its not a clever way around yahoo, Its basically just a tag that firefox doesnt support so they just ignore it..

If you are a hardcore webmaster you should be using IE to see what most of your demographics is seeing while surfing your sites.

IE is still the most used browser in the world.

FIREFOX is the best but not everybody uses it.

The security=restricted tag is a USEFULL tool that firefox doesnt understand how to implement.. thats all.

ifd like to see an example :) i havent found one page that busts yahoo's frame.. the best your gonna do is serve a different page/image to them , but it aint busting out of the frame..

did you notice an increase in sales when you made that change?

Same with safari, which is basically the same as Firefox.

what would you call it when someone takes your images without your permission , then causes bandwidth to your site while making all your banners not work..
