Sounds like another one of the folks from around here. Got a phone call here at the store one day and the guys says I want you to undertsand I have been Porn Free for 30 days and your store is a bad temptation. I feel that what you are doing is wrong.

So with his phone call in mind we offered anyone that has been porn free for 30 days or longer a free membership to renting movies so they could catch up on everything they had missed.

To each their own. I have no problem with someone practicing any belief system that they choose. Be it Christianity, Judaism, Muslim, Mormon, Scientology, Hindu, etc.

More power to you. People do it for different reasons and I try not to comprehend why it is that they do what they do and frankly it's none of my business.

It's simply amazing what people read into things when it comes to anyone *gasp* even mentions religon.

For the two situations to be even remotely similar, you would have had to call the aforementioned customer and ask him why he hadn't been in to rent any videos in 30 days and what you could do to get him back in the store. Then the customer would have had to respond that he didn't have any problem with your store, but wast no longer watching porn for religous reasons.


The guy that called you unsolicited whining about temptation and telling you what you are doing is wrong is a kook.

The guy that sent this email didn't preach, didn't whine about temptation, didn't try to convert, didn't say duke was going to hell, and didn't do anything that normally drives non-religous people nuts. He simple explained why he was cancelling (when prompted).

I received one or two of those before. Even received one where a guy asked for his account to be closed because he was enrolled in a sexaholics class and couldn't refrain from visiting the website.
