---->PLASTIC SURGERY<----

Your thoughts? I don't really see anything wrong with it as long as it's done for the right reasons (you do it for yourself) and if you know when to stop! I hear so many stories of women getting addicted to it...My question is how do they pay for all this shit??? :helpme

minaroyale 10-08-2005 12:09 PM

Either they have money to begin with...apply for financing and refi their homes, or get dudes to pay for it.

Question answered.

Shit, I see nothing wrong with it..same as you. Right reasons...

This thread would do much better if you showed some photos of the areas that you want done, and what you want done to them.

Mako 10-08-2005 01:48 PM

Love it. Better living through science. :)

One caveat to that: Research research research.

The best boobjobs I've felt/seen/whatever all seemed to come from a limited small group of the same doctors (I'm in LA/Orange County area where they're a dime a dozen). Some of the worst came from "celebrity" guys like Garth Fisher.

It's all about endless research.

Oh one more thing related specifically to breast implants (not you necessarily FB, talking to lurkers):

If having the best "feel" is your goal (not having them hard like two rocks in your chest) you need to go under the muscle, and with silicone. With saline you tend to get ripples in the bag, and they don't feel as good to the touch.

adultchica 10-08-2005 01:56 PM

Plastic surgery for your own personal reasons and not someone else's can probably be a big booster for the old self-esteem.

Now this is when a sugar daddy would be real nice.......my man is way too broke to ever pay for anything like that :-) I mean, he actually had a cow when I bought a 50$ pair of jeans the other day (with my own money). ugh!

aico 10-08-2005 02:03 PM

Plastic surgery is for the extremely insecure, and plastic surgeons feed on that insecurity.

And you know damn well women don't do it for themself, they do it to compete with the other women doing it. If you want to do something for yourself, be happy with yourself the way you are, yourself will really appreciate it.

How can something that has nothing to do with you boost your self-esteem? That's like being proud that you got an A+ on a test that you cheated on. I laugh when people congratulate girls on their great pair of FAKE tits, why are you congratulating them? They aren't theirs, they had nothing to do with making them great, congratulate the doctor, not the girl, she had nothing to do with it.

Wrong.

Some (not all, and probably not the majority, but some) do it simply because they want to see sexy curves looking back at them in the mirror. They have their own ideals as to what being beautiful is and want to satisfy them. These girls even cover up when they go clubbing, not wanting the attention from dipshit guys. They'd have it done even if they were going to spend the rest of their lives secluded on a desert island, it's 100% "for them".

Similar to aftermarket wheels on a car, I do it because I want to see the package looking good to myself, I could give a shit what anyone else thinks.

ROFL!!!!! You had me do a double take...lol That would be awful! The reason I ask about plastic surgery is because I was watching Oprah a few weeks ago when I saw people addicted to it (This girl was 26 and had over 25 surgeries done) Now that's a bit much! :helpme

I compared the desire to improve something's looks for that single person to someone fixing up their car for themselves. Meaning they desire the right look just for their own reasons, not to please anyone else.

Nice try at a flame response though, got any more one liners? :winkwink:

you never told me you had a penis enlargement operation - :winkwink: :1orglaugh

minaroyale 10-08-2005 08:05 PM

The way I see it is this....
If you need it, get it..if you just want it to out do the other chica that has DD's...don't do it if you feel you don't want to.
Reason being..I know plenty of people that DO need it. Bariatric patients with excess skin that need to have it removed, or need things lifted or augmented in order to 'fix' themselves back to the way they were. I lost 180 pounds. One and a half of myself...
In that case, I see nothing wrong with it.
And I say that..because I have been there...and I still have a few more to go. So I wouldn't condemn those people that want it, or have had it...let them do what they want, it's a free fucking country and if you want to call it insecure, then fine...but I don't judge...
So if you want the boobs...by all means, get them mother fuckers.
Whatever makes you happy...because in the end all you have to answer to is your own self, fuck what everyone else thinks...

Nope, I stand by my original statement that you obviously don't know much about women.

Oh and let me guess, that's a picture of your car, that you are displaying for everyone to see, but yet, aren't trying to impress anyone with it... your statement is such a crock of shit.

There goes sticking yourself out there and asking for it....seems to work.

The people on that show suffered from B.D.D - Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
I watched the same show, the girl you're talking about Jenny went a bit too far imo. She wants to cut herself all the way around her body and get herself pulled up, like a pair of pantyhose..!
Crazy woman. It all depends on the persons frame of mind. Some people just never feel good enough and try and fix it, but the problem isn't on the outside, it's in their head. But no matter what anyone tells them about how pretty they are they don't see it because all they see is the person they think isn't good enough.

I think people considering cosmetic surgery should be evaluated by a psychologist first to make sure they have both feet on the ground. People mostly women are trying to live up to this false idea of perfection and its killing peoples self esteem. Dove came out with a campaign for real beauty with women who look real. They are showing all their "flaws" to teach women to love their bodies. I love the commercials and think its about time something is done.

perfectodollars-gabrio 10-11-2005 06:06 AM

my personal opinion is that, despite of work needs (read models or whatever), you should never go for surgery unless you have a real reason for doing it. i.e. for health issues or things like that, then its the right thing to do. but on the other hand, some people can't really like themselves as they are, so they do few mods here and there, but then there's another thing.....say you start doing one mod, then another....when will you stop? it's not an easy topic and discussions could go on forever.

minaroyale 10-11-2005 06:36 AM

I agree on the BDD...it's a serious illness.
It is almost the same as anorexics that look in the mirror and still see themselves as fat.

Remember the woman who wanted to look like a barbie doll and went through like 30 operations to do so? She is in england, I believe.

There is a limit to it. But then again, the media dictates what is in and what is not.

A while there was the rush for "J LO" booties....women were getting butt implants to get phat behinds...

Before that it was lip injections to make their lips more luscious and large...

Then it was botox to get rid of lines and wrinkles..

Boob jobs have always been there, but one dude told me they actually make women look OLDER to have big boobs...now that I look at it, it's true. Unless the girl has a fresh face, they do age a person.

That pic of that tranny...that is plastic surgery gone TOO FAR...she looks plastic and fake...almost like poor lil kim does now. She looked so cute back in the day when she had her real features. (shakes head)

Then there is Joan Rivers...the queen of plastic surgery.

If they have the money, people will do anything to achieve their vision of beauty...or the MEDIA's ideal of beauty.

The question is...WHO IS THE IDEAL we are putting ourselves up to and saying is the epitome of what-ever-ness?

Me, I just want to (and need to) do it to be myself again. It's funny when you feel like you are living in someone else's skin. I suppose this is what a person feels like before they come out of the closet... :upsidedow

EroticySteve 10-11-2005 06:42 AM

My calf and butt implants have gotten me more dates than I can count.

Big Red Machine 10-11-2005 07:50 AM

With the right reseach and the right doctor, and of course the right reasons.
Who cares. I guess its like tatoos everytime I want one, I wait 6 months to see if I still want it........I don't have any
There was 2 girls that I shot that had an awesome boob job. Then there were the FrankinBoobs. So whatever anyone chooses remember its your body and you get what you pay for. So don't go looking for a coupon

Raven 10-11-2005 08:32 AM

Interesting discussion.

I have a healthy respect for plastic surgery. Women and men don't want to age and there are ways to slow it down, so why not?

Some women have boobs that cause back injuries. If a reduction helps, why not?

The excessive use of plastics, however, speaks more to internal emotional issues...that desire to be perfect....or never grow old. Gravity and Nature will win, no matter what....

I fear for women and men who are constantly trying to recreate themselves.....there are surgeries that cut muscle and nerves....and there is risk, every time we put ourselves under anesthesia....

What can go wrong often does.....but, when it's right, it's awesome.
