Hard to say. Amsterdam is great but there are some more great cities. Barcelona, Rome .... depends on what you are looking for

There are lots of great places in both the US and in EU.
There are more things to do in western europe though

Yeah Vienna is nice, but it's very expensive..
That's why I like Berlin much more reasonable cost of living.

If to you cool=chic then Milan would be tough to beat. Otherwise as has been said depends entirely on what you want and what you mean by 'cool'

Cool. I think some small town in lapland is pretty cool. Maybe reykjavik?

Amsterdam is awesome, the people are friendly and they've got those "special" coffee shop and "houses" of pleasures :Graucho

Paris is cool too for a romantic gateway as long as you keep to the touristy parts.

Rome is pretty cool if you want to immerse yourself in Roman ruins and if you like expresso.

The French Riviera is also pretty good, but avoid it during summers, it's quite crowded to say the least.

My favorite is Prague.

One thing about London is that people are very friendly. Remember the first time I went to London and I was trying to find my hotel and I got lost. While I was looking at a map a guy comes up to me and asked me if he could help. I thought I was about to get robbed or something, but he was just beeing nice.

Berlin is pretty laid back

Which are the least expensive large cities to visit (cost of meals, hotels...)?

central and eastern European cities. Prague used to be cheap. I don't know how it is now

You all gotta come here. Its fucking great. Not the best in Europe but it defo doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Easton liked Glasgow, Nylz loves it and comes over a lot. Jason loves it also....
