Prague and Budapest are cheap, beautiful, and amazing all around.

I liked Brussels but then I love Belgium. Ghent is more visually stunning though.

Anyway, my answer is London but I would happily visit so many more.

London is cool, but it's also dirty and smelly, and the weather sucks and super expensive.. :/

EviLSuperstaR 09-26-2004 01:21 PM

Antwerp is the best Belgian town nowadays.
Great beers and the most beautiful women.

Budepest isn't bad either

most cities the size of London are dirty and have a bit of a smell. It is expensive but so is NYC. I wasn't born here...but i am fairly sure I will die here.

sure helps but then pretty buildings aren't worth much if there isn'tthe people to back it up. London does have pretty buildings but remember that a good deal of them were bombed to hell.

Edinburgh not mentioned? Its a wounderfull place, shame about the numorous shops with rock, tartan and unplayable bagpipes but the city still has an unbeatable charm.
Annother fave of mine is Prague... Magical! Especially at Xmas.
I don't much care for Paris, Brussles...

I agree with that, I tried to drive through the place and it was nuts!!! What the hell is up with your roads!! Well they confused me! I just followed a nutter in a renault down some tramlines til I saw a sign to Germany!!
But I'm assured the beer is very good so I may go there (by plane) one day.

Anyway, London sux, Paris sux, Amsterdam is cool if you are a horny binge loving guy .. oh.. what I saw of Budapest was amazing but it was a workign trip so I spent most of the time in a theatre :-(

Europe's five coolest cities according to me:

1. Amsterdam
2. Paris
3. Rome
4. Barcelona
5. Prague

Europe's most over-rated cities: London and Venice.

Doctor Dre 09-26-2004 05:33 PM

Paris Barcelona and berlin would be the 3 I'd visit first

I went to a full on grocery store in suburbia holland, they were selling a case (24 bottles) of Amstel Light for like 8.50E ($10)...

That case in america would be like $20 or more.

I was in such disbelief I took a pic!

Praguer 09-27-2004 06:42 AM

Prague
Amsterdam
Vienna

Khun 09-27-2004 06:48 AM

Amsterdam

Sarah_Jayne 09-27-2004 06:48 AM

Bruges was the first city in Europe outside of London to take my breath away.
