BREAKING NEWS: 61 MissGFY contestants to be Disqualified

Quote:

The entry phase. Women that want to enter will need to register on GFY and post a picture of themselves in the entry thread.

And here's a hint for contestants: post often on GFY, because "Miss GFY" will be partially graded on post count!

Hmmm so this means that now we will have hot sigwhore?

Doctor Dre 03-30-2004 11:24 PM

hrmm sigwhores will win then ... Bad thing

modelgigtalent 03-30-2004 11:25 PM

I think that Lensman just may cut those girls some slack. Who reads the fine print right?
:helpme

I think any model who registered here simply to enter the contest should be disqualified.

The contest is "Miss GFY". I think the contestants should be active posters, not models trying to get some free stuff.

I think so too, but they should AT LEAST register at GFY and post once.

Bottom line is it's a smart page view gimmick and that's what it is all about . $$$$$$$$$

A bit insulting to those of us who have put quality and large amount of posts into the place.

Oh, please someone please flame me for stating my opinion and tell me something like I am jealous of someone or some other stupid high school remark.

:thumbsup

I am not sure if I ever agreed with you before, but I do this time.

I am not donating anything to the prize list because I thought this was supposed to be for chicks that were members here, not a bunch of newbies that joined for this contest.

I wonder if regular female posters were discouraged to enter because they didn't feel they could compete against "hot" and "attractive" content models getting topless.

If the contest was only all done with digital cameras and not professional photographers, there would probably be more webmistresses.

If Lensman allows me to enter without having to have my picture anywhere other than to confirm my identity and that I am a woman, my entry will stay. I just don't want my picture up - anywhere.

As for the new girls, wasn't there a rule where they had to have been members for longer than a certain amount of time?

Anyhow, checked the entries and found names I've never seen prior to this contest (I actually haven't seen a post from some of them). Maybe the entire game plan for GFY is to get more female webmistresses to frequent this place + more pictures + more boobs + more male webmasters sticking around = more advertising dollars.

I think if this contest was done in a different way, there would be more 'lurking' webmistresses that would have come out of the woodworks.

its tough going against professional models for this contest. im entered, but it took me a while to decide on if i would enter or not.
plus, i have a prediction on whos gonna win. it'll be interesting to see if im right or not.
:2 cents:

Perhaps the girls who had not registered prior to Lensman's announcement of this comp should be disqualified.

Make it a regular event so that they can participate next time...

reynold 03-31-2004 02:08 AM

Let the pictures start pouring in!:winkwink:

absolutely. i definitely agree with that!

Evelyn 03-31-2004 05:00 AM

I'm a newbie here!

And no, I didn't register, (although I really wanted to!).

After reading about it, I agree that it should be about representing the whole entity that embodies GFY itself.

But make no mistake, mind you, I will be in the running for Miss GFY 2005. :Graucho

Gemini 03-31-2004 05:18 AM

The contest has already been pushed far beyond Lens original plans. Its been taken into a beauty - nudity contest and with all these other things like post counts etc etc, its turning into quite a mess it looks like.
