Actually the members on this webboard are pretty much smarter than the average.

A year back or so there was this IQ test - and it gave a nice collection of high scores. I even think there was one or two who actually got higher scores than me.

Are you talking book smarts? Diplomas? Degrees? Grades in school? IQ tests?

Growing up I futzed around in school mostly, but I always tested off the charts. My reading comprehension and spelling were always 3-4 years ahead of my current grade level, however in math I was always behind.

Last time I had my iq tested it was 139 and this wasn't an internet iq test but one that was done during a series of tests I had gone through about 5-6 years ago.

I graduated high school have had some college but no degree, so if we were to compare degrees I'd more than likely lose. However I have known many "honor students," and college graduates that couldn't tell their ass from a hole in the ground and/or are basically functionally retarded when it comes to matters of life.

I think I'm smarter than some, but I also know I'm dumber than others. I love growth, and cannot ever see myself never trying to learn or expand my knowledge.

Do not overrate yourself - that's may be important, I think.

there are different types of smart, IQ is mainly a test of logical thinking, which i happen to be good at, but that doesnt get you to far in real life, ambition and dedication are more important in my opinion

i know that I am not dumb and that I am above average in intellegence howver I am smart enough to know that most of my knowledge is in certain areas and that there are other areas - such as math - where there are many people much smarter than me.

I am also smart enough to know that IQ numbers don't mean much when applied to real life.

How would you measure "smart"? Since we're all students of money I would say.. the more you made in X amount of time - the smarter you are. May not be an accurate way to judge, but definitely it's one of those things that count and is measurable.

i think EQ was invened by people with low IQ to make them feel better about themselves. i have a fairly high IQ but what i was trying to say is that it doesnt really mean shit

No not really, I think I'm smarter than 55-60% of people. Lots of people think I'm really smart though. So in fact I'm of average intelligence but since perception is so important nowadays... :)

Yes. Genius level IQ and scored in the top 1% for abstract, numerical, and logical reasoning, etc.

I'm also a research hound and keep my mind sharp as a tact constantly studying and learning new things.
