They don't even look tough. They took what used to be a real, tough vehicle and made it just like the 3000GT's and plastic Camaro's on the road. It's a royally expensive piece of shit.

Penrod 10-08-2003 08:47 AM

excellent.

Evil1 10-08-2003 08:48 AM

Dumbass should have bought an old jeep CJ if he's going to be out doing shit like that.

Or perhaps maybe a real hummer?

Morgan 10-08-2003 08:50 AM

No shit. H2 is a pile of shit. They used to be cool, now they are just Suburban's shaped like an ugly lego.

Bishop 10-08-2003 08:51 AM

hahaha.. that would suck. I bet they had a good time getting it out of the woods..

That would be another option wouldnt it..

Thats 2wice that happened, they took the old CJ's and turned them in plastic toy wranglers

then they took the hummer's and turned them into these delicate little peices of shit you see in the video..

it's retarded, both didnt become popular because they're comfy and had fun little toys, they became popular cause they would go anywhere and were tough as shit

but both had to be pussified for some reason.

Mr Pheer 10-08-2003 09:02 AM

If the driver would have locked the front diff and turned on the H2's awesome traction control, he wouldnt have spun like that and snapped a tie-rod when the other wheel gained traction.

And if you think Jeeps and Hummer H1's and other 4x4 trucks dont break tie-rods, you are badly mistaken.

lock 10-08-2003 09:02 AM

keep your toy for the beach! A Landcruiser would live thru that. I believe the old Jeep wouldnt either im afraid.

evildick 10-08-2003 09:04 AM

I think they are basically just a Chevy Tahoe with slightly beefier suspension and bigger tires.

There's a local Cadillac dealer that has started selling Hummers and they don't have any H1's in stock, all H2's.

I'd rather go to the auction and buy an older H1 than pay the outrageous prices they ask for these new H2's. The sad thing is the only place you see them around here is in the city, where there is no point in owning a vehicle like that anyway.

Thats because they really, really suck on the hiway. 75mph top speed, cant hear your radio over the engine, and rides like a tractor. Great for in town though if you have wide parking spaces :)

I think they used the suburban chassis. Either or, same thing...

Uhh, that trail is not that bad. And considering thats a "new" vehicle that should not happen at all. My CJ goes through more abuse being parked.

It is a really expensive piece of shit! I hate the new H2! They've made it too much for consumer now - That's why I wouldn't buy one, or drive one - even if it was given to me!

I think you guys are funny, the hummer is twice as expensive as an H2. Two different vehicles, Two different classes.

Comparing the hummer to an H2 is like saying your Riced up Honda lost the race, he should have been driving a Porche. Laughing My Ass OFF! You guys crack me up. :321GFY

Twice as much? No way you can find a nice Hummer for $90k, a new H2 for $60-70k

smack 10-08-2003 10:36 AM

do0d i think my fucking '84 pinto could have made it up that hill. jesus christ what garbage.

Ross 10-08-2003 10:36 AM

Did you see what the yellow Hummer in Bad Boys 2 went through? Geez!

EZRhino 10-08-2003 10:37 AM

Dumb asses, H2 is nothing like the OG Hummer.

Zoe 10-08-2003 10:55 AM

Here is a REAL HUMMER. Owned by my boss. And yes he off roads. Takes it hunting and fishing and pulls his horse trailer.

They don't break them on little gay trails like that.

LOL, We had an old ford truck that wouldn't have to slow down to make that trip. What an expensive turd.

Zoe 10-08-2003 11:11 AM

My boss told me on one fishing trip he took his dad on. Most pencil necks that own H1s put those cool Aluminum wheels on cuz they look cool. He eventually had to "replace" his black steel ones cuz of his offroading and fishing trips. One of them made that video look like a pavement. It was at the base of a mountain that opened up into a huge lake with an eventual sand basin/shorline. Anyway the rock area was 1/2 mile wide and 3/4s of a mile long.......in order to get to the sand basin of the mouth where to fish......he had some nice pics.

H2s are tonka toys made by GM so they could make money. Period.

Mr Pheer 10-08-2003 11:16 AM

I'll be glad when the H3 comes out so you guys will REALLY have something to moan about all day.

Wouldnt want you guys to get bored... you seem to be happiest while complaining

Oh Oh hey how bout this... California's new govenor has a H2.
there ya go, start the bitching :)

Vox 10-08-2003 11:24 AM

I feel sorry for whoever had to tow him out, or the mechanic who worked on it. Not the most comfortable place to change a tie rod.

Brad-Wishing 10-08-2003 11:25 AM

A nice Jeep YJ will own an H2 any day.

Yeah, I know what you're saying.
But he's trying to offroad a vehicle that was "supposed" to be a rugged offroad vehicle, but is just an oversized barbie truck painted black.

You put 80k into a Jeep YJ.... woah.

I've owned one and taken it offroad, its an awesome machine. But I'm an experienced driver and know when to lock a diff, when to shift to low transfer, when to use engine braking, how to use the brakes to lock a spinning wheel and transfer power to the other wheels, and other things you should know before doing what he did.

You guys say weak machine. I say inexperienced driver.

I dont know of any tie rod made that could take that much torque put on it at one time when that wheel suddenly gained traction and stopped spinning.
