well if its what you like cool, but this thread is about people asking me "how you drink that shit?" while holding a bud light... when referring to newcastle LOL
The people that I know who drink bud get cases of the shit for free.
honestly if someone gave me a case of bud light i would give it to someone else. prolly my brother, who at least recognizes how good newcastle is but says he liked bud light ha!
no offense to bud drinkers, i just like ales more than american lagers.,
you may have to enter your age, but this is what ive been enjoying. Seasonal pecan harvest ale from Abita. Louisiana spring water, and louisiana pecans! great brew
i dont drink beer anymore but there was a time that i was a very snobbish beer drinker.
and there was a couple summers that my neighbors and i were consuming at least a 6 pack each per day.
we didnt drink bud light, but coors light is my neighbors favorite and its a bit similar. i found bud light to be a bit more bitter.
but when you are playing beer pong, an amber or dark beer is not so fun.
its more like a way to get your liquid as the flavor is very light.
but the main issue i think is price. soooo much cheaper than newcastle

More often than not, they do just that. I know she and a few coworkers donated 50 cases between them when another friend got married.
I still to this day can't finish off a beer. I might drink 3/4 of a beer once or twice a year.
I don't even get why people drink beer. I never acquired a taste for it, and I'd rather just drink hard liquor instead of a gallon of 5% alcohol content.

right, its the beer pong crowd hehe
i dont drnk like i used too but when i do have a beer i like newcastle or abita brews.
It amuses me how British brands like Newcastle Brown Ale can be made to look 'cool' overseas.
I drink nothing but ale, but Newcastle is not something any member of CAMRA would admit to drinking unless there was absolutely NOTHING else available.

Marketing is clever.
you amuse me. figured youd be like well well well an American who at least drinks a good beer but naaah, still just lil negative girl.
Some people like drinking ice cold carbonated piss. *shugs*
To each thier own I say, but you're right, someone standing around drinking BL has no business asking someone drinking Newcastle (or pretty much any other beer for that matter).how they can "drink that shit", lol.

i say it right back to them.
how you drink THAT shit??? lol
;)
puke ... BOTH are NOT EVEN BEER compared to the cheapest lousy german brew
There aren't enough faces and palms on this planet for an appropriate reaction to religion.

The same applies to Fosters. No one touches the stuff here, yet the rest of the world seems to think that is Australia's beer of choice. I couldn't even tell you the last time I saw anyone anywhere drinking a Fosters.

because its cheap. i drink coors mostly. its cheap. i can get it for 25 bucks a case in quebec vs 38 bucks in ontario for the exact same thing. though i like stella and steamwhistle but its pretty expensive to drink a lot of it.
you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..
Just depends on the setting. I don't particularly prefer Bud Light (or any light beer), but there are occasions where I will enjoy a light beer. Tailgating at a football game for example. Or at an office party.
bud Light Lime, is my favourite. It tastes similar to Corona with lime, but its light so doesn't fill me up as fast, and the buzz is just a nice. Winner.

it doesn't taste like beer at all, but it goes down easy on hot days.
Bud Light is good for binge drinking. Doesn't bloat you up that bad. I don't drink it unless I plan on drinking until I am in a coma.
If I actually want to have just one or two nice-tasting beers with a meal I would never order a Bud Light. It's only good for killing brain cells.
exactly
yea, I'm sure no one drinks it for the taste, it's one of the cheapest beers you can buy, it's really only good if you want to get fucked up, and don't want to spend much...

In the early '80s my band at the time was sponsored by Coor's Light. We had tons of that pisswater shit dropped at our feet, and had to deal with coked out reps who looked like Lon Chaney, Sr. from London After Midnight. Idiot suit wearing asshats who tried to make the tour an ass-kissing bro-fest nightmare. Every city, a different rep. Always the same guy with a different name. Night after night...
One asshole wanted us to fly a COORS LIGHT fucking banner behind the drumkit or they'd yank the sponsorship. It wasn't fun while it lasted.
Bud Light's no better. I've accidentally drank pissed in bottles full of cigarettes butts that tasted better than that shit.
The moral of this story is this: No matter how bad things get, no matter how hard life seems; you're smarter than a suit-wearing product rep.
Bud is the biggest joke in beer. Priced only a couple bucks under the imports. They spend all their budget on advertising, not ingredients. It is basicly watered down beer. Decent flavor but too waterey.
Just bought a 12 of:
Heiny $11.99, (on sale, normally $13.99 - too high, couple more bucks you can drink the best: Grohlsh)
Pauli Girl $12.49 (normal price and the best deal in beer)
Newcastle tonight $11.99 (on sale, normally $13.99)
Normally not a big dark guy but 11.99 for NC is worth it.
Bud is like $9.99 a 12. Yeah right. A bit better by the case usually.
My normal routine is:
1 (12) Pauli Girl, 1 Corona ($13.99 but worth it) Doesnt have the kick of Newcastle and Newcastle is a better deal at $13.99 but Corona is my beer.
But tonight Newcastle instead of Corona. Newcastle is one of the best beers we get around here. If it stays at $11.99 (which it wont) Ill replace Corona.
