Would be good for caching files on extremely popular servers and/or load balanced clusters

I have two of them both serving up media. Both of them the last-gen Z-Drives (w/ molex power, not the new ones that don't require it)

All I have to say? horryyyyyy shiiiieeeetttttt. We were able to cap out a server with a 3 gigabit connection, with IOWait around 6. These things are awesome and well worth the cost if you need the absolute fastest IO possible.

My OCZ ssd (not PCIe) completely died about 2 weeks ago. I went to their support board and saw tons of customers with the same issue (firmware got somehow broken and there is no way to recover data on ssd). My opinion is that OCZ is selling disks without testing them enough just to be the most innovative producer.

From what I've read they're just a marriage of a standard Sil 3132 controller with standard SATA SSD hardware. Same, possibly worse, than attaching a couple of 2.5" SSDs to RAID capable SATA ports. In non Windows OSs the revdrive internal SSDs even show up as individual drives.
