My Mother-in-Law is coming to live with us for 3 months
In about a month my mom in law will be coming to live with us for 3 months.
1. how will I keep my work away from her eyes and ears? 2. is it REALLY all that bad to start drinking in the morning?

Ya bro... mine came for a few weeks and stayed for 4 years. I finally left when she tried to have a conversation with me while I was taking a shit. I am sure my wife and her mother are very happy in my home now.

Good luck, drinking in the morning is now ok. My mother-in-law came to help us with our newborn 6 years ago. That was supposed to be for only 6 months. She and her husband never left.

Your first mistake was to have a mother-in-law = second was to agree to let her stay.
If you want to avoid her from staying beyond the agreed time - then leave as much porn open on your screen and conversation as possible. Eventually she'll leave the house vowing never to return or talk to you. Seems like this could work to your benefit

Mine lived with us for 6 mnths. We even let her have the basement apartment. It was completely horrible. Always expect to be outnumbered in every little disagreement that you have with your wife.
I did get along with her mom before she moved in, but our relationship isn't very good anymore. One tip: If she doesn't give you privacy, just "accidentally" walk around naked. Seriously, show her your junk! She'll be gone in no time.

My mother in law and Father in law live with me 48 weeks of the year. Built in Baby sitter, chef, maid and lawn people. All I have to do is pay for everything.

My first Mother in Law was mad and never left her room. So didn't see much of her.
My second Mother in Law lived in New York and never met her. My third Mother in Law is great. We have so much in common. Like our age. She knows what we do and knew when I first met Eva what I did. She has been to live with us when Eva was home from the hospital a couple of years ago. I swear I put on a kilo a day with her cooking. The only problem I would of had with family knowing what I did was my Father. He would of gone ballistic. My Mother worked it out and kept it from him. My advice is to put a lock on the office door and make sure the computer is password protected. Tell her you need perfect solitude to work and concentrate. |
