Paysites CMS / Which one is better ? - GoFuckYourself.com

Heya

We are plotting to integrate our paysites on a new CMC in the near future - and are looking around for the best options to do so ...

So far we have looked at:

Sitedepth -> looks good featurewise, maybe lacking some mobile and its a one-off reasonable payment. On the downside there seems to be lots of complaints about the support.

ElevatedX -> looks more advanced, but the monthly lease/modules seem like a big downside unless its vastly better.

Theadultinterface -> looks very smooth and nice, but the one of price is insanely high by the looks of it.

Awiz -> havent really investigated them, it seems cheap, but many people warn that the integration is difficult and support is mainly in russian/poor.

What experiences do people have? Any recommendations/thoughts?

Havent checked out Carma no, at first glimpse it seems like a solid option - although the onetime fee is extremely high and doesnt include ongoing support. But will have a closer look

Try also Adult Site CMS (affil)

I can recommend this CMS, have been doing templates for it.

New 3.0 version has tons of features, very good price <-> value ratio.

I must admit I ruled out Adult Site CMS - its nice looking and cheap...but being a wordpress plugin, well I simply wouldnt trust that platform with paysites. Further, they didnt reply to support requests - so obviously that didnt add to the confidence.

I do not know when you tried to talk to us, but we are always around. I admit that if you try to hit us up on ICQ only and not email or call us, it can sometimes get lost.

Just let me know what you need and your concerns. We are running AdultsiteCMS on some of the biggest sites and made sure to lock down all security issues.

All scripts have security issues - you just need to stay on top of them with upgrades, custom blocking and permission settings.

Most of it comes down to having a good host whom can stay on top of things as well for you.

This is the only one i've tried out of your list, intergration isnt bad but the support is a bit ... "abrasive" at times.

Hinc, the first year of support is included in the out-right and every year after that is $750 if you need it. Our lease option includes the support as long as you have an active license and cost $150 per month flat.

Also, I would be careful with companies who sell you a software for a flat rate and tell you they will give you support forever.

Sitedepth is probably the cheapest. It has limited functionality and as well supported. If their demo does what you need it is probably the best option.

ElevatedX and Carma are both solid CMS products with strong support and company backing. There is a little bit of a learning curve and you have to build your workflow and site around how they work. This is usually not a problem but sometimes it is not ideal. They are a bit pricier too; but you get what you pay for. Both companies have excellent support if you need someone to help you through the process.

Custom CMS solutions might also work depending on what you need. Typically they can range between $500 to $3000 depending on what you need. You would have the advantage of getting exactly what you want. Disadvantages are a little bit of delay to get them written, plus you need to know exactly what it is you want. Usually the functionality is not going to be as rich as an off-the-shelf but they are usually more straight-forward and based around your workflow. Myself and other programmers on here are more than happy to help with custom CMS solutions.

I used ElevatedX a while ago, it's a great platform, easy to use and they offer a variety of options to keep you on top, with mobile CMS etc.

Some good points - and interesting new options have come up already. Busy looking into Carma, finding further info on Sitedepth and may have another look at Elevatedx given all the positive reviews, though i really dont like the leasing/modular concept.

MAS -> Looks brilliant, but even more expensive than Carma, and with about the same range of features as far as I can tell.

Gonna sit down with the others today and lay out the options, pricings, features today - and see which ones to demo/get serious about.

I actually had an older version of adultsitecms at one point for a side project - never got it installed, and it disappeared as I upgraded wordpress to version 3.01 - and support didnt reply.

Am pretty sure its German not Russian. Problem i have with them is that they charge for every tiny mod as they don't have macros working on every page. Have also been told they basically couldn't do one thing for me (sort models by date added - as the engine couldn't do it) Its a good starter CMS tho. They always get back to on same day.

If you know how to call things out of the db you can acheive a lot with it tho.

If your just going to have one or two paysites I would say have a static tour and pick a tube script to run the members area. I have two cms mentioned above, one of the expensive kind.

I would say the workflow compared to a good tube script is a lot more. Many pages need clicking (need to visit about 6 different pages in admin area for each video you add), chmod files, renaming files, creating thumbnails one by one etc. Adding same content to a good tube script will save you a lot of time and negate the excessive recurring monthly fees.

I'd rather say it's based in one of the Baltic countries. Support is good. No upgrades for almost 2 years

I use CARMA and I am quite happy with it. It is easy to use and the support is reliable. However ElevatedX has more features, more significant updates and would probably save me time and make my workflow more effective.
