Myself: cannot fucking wait for Assassin's creed brotherhood and COD Black Ops

Gran turismo 5 is looking pretty decent aswell (now it's finally coming out!)

What are you looking forward to?

I was watching some vids on youtube earlier for assassin's creed and it looks really good! Black Ops looks like a sure winner aswell!

I'll probably dabble in COD Black Ops... do you know if it'll be dedicated servers or bullshit IWNet? If it's IWNet I'll have to pass, since even on a 200$/month 20mpbs connection - from Colombia it's shit. MW2 no longer finds games under 120-130 ping.

Assassin's Creed, if the story line is as shit as Assassin's Creed 2 I won't play through it. The first one was repetative but original, with a decent/cool story line. I couldn't stand the faggy Italian accents in the second one, let alone that it was exactly like the first.

Of course the new COD. Some of the new MP modes seem really cool. Like the one where everyone starts with a low level gun then each kill you get a new gun. Also there is one where everyone starts with a pistol with one round. You can gamble your experience points to buy new upgrades which seems cool instead of just leveling up.

As a mostly retired gamer, I saw a commercial today for Goldeneye 007 for the Wii which I had no idea was coming out. Goldeneye on the N64 was the shit, so I'm assuming that'll kick ass.

I would like to see a computer game with:
- The best graphics
- The most variety of person movements/positions to choose from
- A lot of items to choose from to hold in your hands
- Ability to team up with other players to play team games such as "capture the flag" or "team fortress"
- Ability to control vehicles and outposts
- Ability to play from first-person view as well as third-person view

I am DEFINATELY not buying call of duty. After medal of honor, I am never buying another game from that franchaise again. MOH sucked so fucking bad. Took like 3 hours to beat it and the ending was complete shit. No climax at all, just suddenly wham it's over.

I thought assassin's creed 2 was pretty good. I didn't like the way that once you finished the game you couldn't start again though that sucked.

If you didn't like the italian accents you won't like this one is with the auditore family again.

Fable looks really cool! haven't got an xbox 360 that works at the moment though lol. Got an old one I've had for about 4 years that works but is from the UK, doesn't play region 1 games so need a new one. Glad I waited, will probably get a slim one next year.

Yes they have dedicated servers for PC.
Ranked and Unranked Servers.
They are all hosted by gameservers.com (Choopa side company)

Black Ops is made by Treyarch, Not IW, a different development company/team of Activision more suited to PC dev.

The ranked servers are very tight sealed. As a ranked server admin, You will have ability to ban kick remove and basic options of control but that is about it.. Its 18 players per ranked server

Unranked servers have more control, up to 24 players, you'll be able to run your own game types here, such as shotguns only or snipers only... I doubt mods are possible since its a closed server software setup.. They really are restructing this stuff, its one of their ways to deal with the cheaters that are ruining online play..

If you are on PC be sure to check out Nobotters Faction (Nobotters.com - An anticheat gaming community that is starting up.. They have 25 Black Ops Servers already pre-ordered. But don't bother if you are a cheater...
Its a identity service they run to keep the lamers out.

See ya on the 9th, its the only PC title to care about in 2010. If it fails, the pc industry is doomed.

My gf just brought me FIFA 11, Formula 1 2010 and Medal of Honor back from Scotland. FIFA 11 is awesome, as is every FIFA game, F1 2010 is great, been waiting for this for 3 years, but Medal of Honor at first viewing is disappointing. I played it for 30 mins last night and I'm not hooked yet.

I'm patiently waiting for COD Black Ops tho, I seriously won't move from my sofa till I complete the game. Then I won't move for weeks due to online play

Played F1 2010 but it got repetitive and I lost interest especially since I don't care much for F1.

I'll try the new NFS for sure.

NASCAR 2011 is coming out with a new developer. I've been disappointed with all previous titles so I hope this one is worth playing.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is coming out the first of next year and it looks to be badass.

Been playing Forza 3 mostly and now they are coming out with the " Ultimate Forza Collection " which is the same game but now it includes ALL the available DLC and the best part is it's only $29.95. If you would have bought all the DLC as it came available you would have spent about $100. It's an incredible deal for anyone that wants to get an awesome driving game.

I still have a bunch of games I've bought but haven't played yet like Bioshock and Condemned 2 so thankfully there is never a shortage of something to play when I can find the time

You can pick up a copy of Bioshock 2 now for about $19.95 which I might do and add it to the pile.

The scenes were horrible and repetitive... I have NEVER skipped through video game cutscenes in my life and typically enjoy them, but there were just too many cutscenes in Assassins Creed 2 spewed with irrelevant bullshit - the faggy accents just made it worse.

I can deal with the accents if the game isn't crap. Looks like it has new characters and whatnot so I'll likely try it out, just not sure if I'll play through it...

FIFA 11 is awesome, as is every FIFA game, F1 2010 is great, been waiting for this for 3 years, but Medal of Honor at first viewing is disappointing. I played it for 30 mins last night and I'm not hooked yet. I'm patiently waiting for COD Black Ops tho, I seriously won't move from my sofa till I complete the game. Then I won't move for weeks due to online play

justinsain Confirmed User Join Date: Feb 2005 Posts: 3,374	I'm looking forward to Black Ops too. Played F1 2010 but it got repetitive and I lost interest especially since I don't care much for F1. I'll try the new NFS for sure. NASCAR 2011 is coming out with a new developer. I've been disappointed with all previous titles so I hope this one is worth playing. Test Drive Unlimited 2 is coming out the first of next year and it looks to be badass. Been playing Forza 3 mostly and now they are coming out with the " Ultimate Forza Collection " which is the same game but now it includes ALL the available DLC and the best part is it's only $29.95. If you would have bought all the DLC as it came available you would have spent about $100. It's an incredible deal for anyone that wants to get an awesome driving game. I still have a bunch of games I've bought but haven't played yet like Bioshock and Condemned 2 so thankfully there is never a shortage of something to play when I can find the time
