I fixed it by turning off the auto update. It then did a proper update download and install.

I'm using the Linux version and it only popped up once for me in the morning. Haven't seen it since.

Yes, updating from 4.0.52 seems to be caught in a loop.

Since reinstalling a couple weeks ago, it now shows red squares for every program, even though the stats are indeed updating.

Looks like their database is down, the software probably uses that same database to authenticate.

That's weird.

I didn't have the problem yesterday or today, but I did have that problem back few days ago (maybe late last week or this past weekend) where it wanted to update a few times each day.

I did have the null problem today but it still updated my stats just fine.
