Not to say a registrar can't suspend a domain it doesn't webhost, but rarely happens - and often when it does, it's typically due to spam and phishing not content per se.

As far as minor art content that involves no real people, no 2257 needed for that, but that's not the issue - it appears Namecheap suspended the site due to phishing allegations...

Why the OP brought up the issue of CP is beyond me, since the suspension warning was related to "phishing", but when he did, that gave Namecheap the perfect, easy way out of the situation; limited options, since alleged CP has to be investigated, and most hosts will err on the side of caution by suspending and reporting.

From what I read, Namecheap webhosting first contacted the OP regarding phishing with no mention of CP nor questionable content. Or did the OP leave out something? Because, from what I'm seeing, to reiterate, the OP brought up those issues first - and not sure why, since Namecheap webhosting was first only concerned about "phishing".

Anyways, regardless, Namecheap and other big name registrar-based webhosting, such as GoDaddy, is usually a bad idea, even more so, for hosting high traffic / adult / controversial websites.

About the phising site, there is some kind of phising related to child porn, someone hacks a site, uploads a fake CP site that leads to a fake credit card processor and the site is spammed, the scammer gets this way some credit card numbers belonging to pedos, it's the only scam on the net that gets me an smile, a pedo getting his CC drained by a scammer :D

this would explain namecheap talking about a phish site in a ticket about CP

That's exactly what I figured too. And in such instances, the easy, and often correct, answer is to remove the links (even if they're to pages that look ok, because they might not be - some phish exploits are masked very well and difficult for webmasters to spot) until the issue is resolved; provides time to prepare moving to another webhost.

Regarding phishing, the irony is that CP is one of the few remaining content niches for which many people will still whip out their credit card number and pay exorbitant fees to access with little to no thought - for phishers it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

I just took a look at Namecheap's domain registration agreement - the part about spamming and phishing is pretty standard, but the "moral" part ... wow, why would anyone register names there. Glad I never did - something about Namecheap never seemed right.

With the info you just posted, it's likely you had no real alternative other than taking the content / links down as demanded, at least temporarily, and transfer the domain name away to another registrar...

Have you tried transferring out the domain? Imho, that's really the only effective recourse you have at this point.

You will need to get the authcode (I think .tv uses them too) and get the domain unlocked. However, because .TV is a ccTLD, ICANN transfer out policy will be of no help - hence, it's possible Namecheap may refuse to facilitate a transfer out request.

Why the OP brought up the issue of CP is beyond me, since the suspension warning was related to "phishing", but when he did, that gave Namecheap the perfect, easy way out of the situation; limited options, since alleged CP has to be investigated, and most hosts will err on the side of caution by suspending and reporting.
