Even if he was making only $900 a week (though not sure what he spends on advertising if anything), that's still more than a lot of people live on and likely more than a lot of people here make anymore. I mean if he were to manage to increase the revenue on it to something most people around here would consider "good", and I realize that's a huge if, that would be the biggest "an idiot with money can't fail" evidence I'd have ever seen. As it is, I see evidence of it all the time with domains - you would be surprised how many people throw gobs of money at domains like he does and still manage to make profits with them barely knowing what the fuck they're doing. It's hard to register or buy low-end domains and make a living but either getting in on domains early on (which some of the more vocal idiots in the domain industry were lucky enough to do) and/or getting in on premium domains with a lot of money has rarely if ever failed anyone. At the very least, he didn't blow $350k on a $10 domain and the rest on buying shitty Chinese traffic.

Imagine if he had actually gotten a good deal on that domain or another of its quality (like say $50,000)...even with all his buffoonery, he'd probably have a lot of people here licking his nuts.

I mentioned in another thread, I had sniffed out a deal a few years back for a name for about $130k-$150k that wound up selling for a cool million 4 months later. I may be getting back into dealing with those sorts of names again soon enough, but the returns on the low-end names are a much higher %.
