I just got an interesting phonecall.
My next door neighbor's wife works for a large chain of grocery stores and just got back from a board meeting. My neighbor called me because when she told him of a new company merger that was happening, he had heard me mention the name of the company, epassporte, in the past few days.
From my understanding, this large grocery store chain is in the process of acquiring the holdings of epassporte, and somehow that set off some red flags with Visa who has put a hold on all of epassporte's virtual visa accounts until corporate documentation about the merger is provided to Visa proving that the merger is legitimate. Supposedly that will be happening within the next 24 to 48 hours, but it still may not happen soon enough to get the hold on the virtual visa program removed before this weekend. So this may not happen until Monday.
I probably shouldnt say the name of the company, but he showed me the proof and I snapped a photo for you guys.
Looks like your virtual visa cards will be working again in just a few days.
