vacation

Shit, several transfers should be sent to me these days and that's exactly money I need for vacation. My flight is in 5 days, and I won't have money there.

Michael: what is the price of wire transfer to Europe*?

I think it's a technical issue that those funds are accessible to VISA.

Where is that money? No mans land.

Could this be the end? I hope VISA will reconsider their position and start to work again (at least) with epassporte otherwise we're all screwed up

Epassporte has just issued a statement that they are having an issue with their Visa program. Included is some unable to retrieve their Epassporte funds via their ATM card. Below is the statement directly from Epassporte.

While we are unsure at this time what the lasting effect will be, making sure you are paid for your hard earned sales is our #1 goal.

We advise that until the issue is resolved to immediately switch your IslandDollars.com account to payment via check or wire. The change can be made via the "edit profile" link on the top right of every page inside the affiliate admin. Once you make the change also email [email protected] with your username and that you've updated your payment option. The change will go into effect for the next payments, scheduled to be sent September 16-22. If you are unable to receive checks/wires contact us directly to see if there are alternative methods to get you paid. Any further inquries contact us and we'll help however possible.

Sincerely,

Marty

STATEMENT:
----------------------------------------------------------
From: Christopher Mallick, Owner, ePassporte.com <http://ePassporte.com>

Dear ePassporte Account Holders,

Please be advised that, at 12:00 PM PDT today, September 2, 2010, we were notified that effective immediately, Visa International has suspended our banking partner's (St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank) ePassporte Visa program. The ePassporte e-Wallet program continues to be up and running, except funds cannot be transferred between your Visa Account and your e-Wallet. At this time ePassporte can no longer issue Visa Cards, and the ability for our Account Holders to make point of sale purchases and withdraw funds from ATMs has also been suspended.

At this time we do not know why this drastic action was taken by Visa. To us, it is unconscionable that such action would be taken without the opportunity for ePassporte to fully understand Visa's reasons and to be able to take all steps necessary to keep our program running the way it has so successfully done for over 7 years. But that is what Visa has done.

As soon as we have more information we will be in contact with you.

In the meantime please be assured that your funds are safe.

We are very sorry for the short notice and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The ePassporte team is working diligently to rectify this situation.

We kindly ask you to bear with us while we work through this issue.

Please feel free to contact us via the message center or at our call center, should you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Thank You,

Christopher Mallick

Epassporte Situation

As of 2nd March 2010 Epassporte have suspended its Virtual Visa program. This means its impossible to withdraw funds from Epassporte if your funds are stored in your Virtual Visa Account. Partner payments were sent via Epassporte yesterday and those have been sent successfully.

Affiliates should do the following immediately if affected by Epassporte.

1. Login to your Epassporte account and in Wallet Settings, make sure all inward payments are stored in your Wallet, not your Virtual Visa account.

2. We suggest all affiliates using Epassporte as a payment option login to your Dream-Cash admin and change your payment settings to 'Check' for the time being, until the Epassporte situation is resolved.

That is a real good question noone has really given a detailed answer to.

The money is somewhere.. I assume in Visa's hands which is then a seperate account from Epass perhaps?

Good Q for Michael.

Try demanding a compulsory 14 day notice to cancel service with VISA
while setting up a billion dollar deal.

Bank Wire is plan B. Instead of 7 days + 5 days to get your pay add another 2 days.

Visa is NOT A BANK. So it can't keep your money.

I have been thinking about this.

Everybody is worried about funds on the virtual visa card....

But shouldn't this money actually be safest of all? Epassporte can't touch it and at least Visa have procedures and regulation.

Lucky I saw the notice before my pay goes in tonight.

this bank has the money:
St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank

and are being sued to fucking shit about something.. maybe they need to pay legal bills.. maybe there was a judgement... nobody knows except the owner and the lucky guy with the damn PACER account!

"After authorities shut down Stanford International Bank in Antigua last year for allegedly issuing $7 billion in bogus certificates of deposit, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank seized a second Stanford-owned bank, the Bank of Antigua, which dealt primarily with local deposits and loans.

The suit claims the seizure was illegal, and that the institution ? which Morgenstern says is still "enormously valuable" ? should have become the property of Stanford's alleged victims.

Instead, the bank's assets were distributed among the ECCB's member banks ? Antigua Commercial Bank, St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, Eastern Caribbean Financial Holdings Company, National Commercial Bank (SVG), and National Bank of Dominica ? which are also named in the suit.

Investors previously sued the Antiguan government for $24 billion, after U.S. authorities charged the nation's top banking regulator with accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes to hide the Stanford scam from the SEC.

Antigua has not formally responded to the lawsuit.

Yeah where is a nice friendly Visa rep to reassure us.

Someone mentioned earlier that someone had around $100,000 in Virtual Visa? People like that usually can afford laywers to talk to Visa. (hopefully a few lawyers will)

From 1929 to 1932, about 5000 banks went out of business
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_D..._United_States

From 2008 to 2010 some 283 banks went out of business

Something to look forward to

My bank asked me to explain why I sent wires to Epassporte N.V., I provided a lot of docs and statements. I heard many people were also asked by their banks, some even were denied to transfer money there. I guess the problem haven't appeared in one day.
