I'm bored out of my mind. Suggestions welcomed.

Serious ones that is.

As I recover from cancer I'm finding I'm in a position to do a few things so long as they're not too physical. I can walk to the village which is a km away and after a rest walk back. Then I'm sleeping for 2 hours.

And that's about it for physical.

I can post on the boards as it's not hard work. Only thing is after an hour there are few things to post.

So has anyone got any suggestions, sensible ones only, what I can do?

I used to jump in my car almost every day and take off for something to do. I'd drive 100 miles with no problem. Because of the economy it's no longer in my budget so I find myself looking for simple and cheap things to do at home to keep me busy.

Lately I've been building stuff and my latest project is a racing chair to use with a steering wheel for an xbox 360. I saw you could buy them online for about $300 and I decided I'd make one myself so I went down to Home Depot, bought some wood, made a design and went to making it happen. I'm no handyman but it's been fun working on it and it's a great time filler. If you have the desire to make things it's a great way to spend time and you have something very gratifying in the process.

You said you take a walk so why not take your camera with you, look at the countryside in a different way and take pictures that you wouldn't normally take. Bring them back home and post them here telling and showing us what you experienced. I'm sure people will be interested in seeing what you come up with and look forward to what you bring next.

Whatever you choose, keep up the fight. You know you will get better and it's just a matter of time. I hope you find a way to pass time faster

Cook something

It's the summer make some wine

Build a model or something - i'm thinking about building a car engine for something to do

Watch films - MaDalton's suggestion of writing reviews is good - I can take up half an hour writing a review

How about you send people you don't like private messages?

It will take up your time and be really useful.

Taking photos and post a blog would be one good thing. Or write/blog about your cancer recovery and how it's going. Add Google adense and see some extra dollars come in.

Share your experience as a way of both helping others and relieving yourself from thoughts and keep your own mind busy. How do you feel today, what is different and what progress can you notice? Can you time your walk back and forth to the village, can you do it faster after two weeks, or walk slower but not take a rest there before your return?

Keep busy and try to write down progress, it's a lot easier to see it then and take comfort in that one is getting better. Getting a schedule is also helpful, like on Tuesdays I always do this or eat that. It will give the body a routine, otherwise it's easy to never long for anything since you can eat whatever you want each day, but the choice might get overwhealming and make you blasé and not wanting anything. By limiting the choices before hand, you in a way allow for more freedom for other things.

Get up early, breakfast and ironing a shirt to put on, do ten situps or push ups however long it takes. Allow a maximum of one hour to read the newspaper. Get out of the house, get lunch, visit GFY, post a little on a blog. Make a daily schedule and stick to it. After a week you will feel better just because of the routines and the security that brings to the mind. I do it all the time when I travel, it's the only way to stay somewhat sane.

MaDalton has the right idea...write a book, either instructional or a "tell all" expose about your career in adult...you can change names of course etc but if you have enough interesting stories it could be worth while...and i'm sure you do!

Learn to play chess if you don't already know. It's a great exercise for the brain and some people find it totally captivating. You can start against computer opponents and move on to playing really players online. Won't cost a dime either.

Don't need to sell my sig. Movie reviews could be good, will they send me free movie? Writing a blog sounds like a good idea and I could incorporate it as a book about my life with a camera, lots of funny stories there.

So now I need to learn how to make a blog!!!!!!

get a domain, have your host install wordpress, find a free design (there are like 5 million to choose from) and there you go...

What if I give you a login to help out on adding your content on http://www.adultcontent.nl/shopnew/s...ch&labelid=423

My data-entry guys can't do it as good as you could...since you shot it and know all about the content.

Willing to compensate you fairly too Paul.

That sounds like a good job. Hit me up on ICQ or Skype.

Candyflip, thanks for the suggestion. Been back in the saddle for a few months now. So way ahead of you. LOL

The radiation burned the inside of my mouth so badly I can't drink beer, wine, spirits, coffer, tea or even Cola. So not the best answer for me.

Might try wine and lay it away for a year, for when I can drink it.

Because it's a waste of time Paul.

Why don't you start a thread about getting Playboy to buy you dinner repeatedly and sitting there lying loudly about your sex life?

Or is mooching off programs you don't promote how you save money at shows? Are you Anal Hobbit?

Viv Thomas has made an excellent site on throat cancer. www.cancer-throat.com for some reason I can't connect to it.

But I would prefer not to write about it. Maybe when I'm completely recovered.

Which is fair enough. The last time my mother in law had cancer (three times since I have known her) it helped her to connect with others that were going through the recovery but each person obviously takes a different approach.
