This reminds me a bit of the people who complained that America had become a "police state" under GW Bush. Such people have never witnessed a real police state, and have no idea of what they speak.

By the same token, I get the sense that ol' Ted Nugent just likes the way that some of these phrases sound, rather than having any grasp of what they mean.

Why do I get that sense? Well, this paragraph, for starters.

So.... Ted Nugent has the audacity to rail about other people being uneducated and/or ignorant of history.... and then he uses a phrase like "communist czar?" :1orglaugh

On second thought... don't. I'm still laughing so hard from reading the phrase "communist czars" in close proximity to the assertion that your ideological opponents are "uneducated" and "history-devoid" that I wouldn't be listening anyway.

I have some old Amboy Dukes stuff, got vinyl on cat sratch fever, he's had hits in the 60's, 70's and 80's and had a reality show a few years back about hunting and several hunting shows. I love Ted's music. My partner in my first "real" pro band (doing it for a living) was bassist Rob Ruzga. He was the bassist for Ted and The Amboy Dukes "Survival Of The Fittest"

I do say that the last couple of decades having presidents name "czars" for different things did sound rather strange. Made it sound like old Russia.

And then having something called "Homeland Security" makes me think of Hitler's "Fatherland"
Not saying we are like the Nazi's (or maybe we are) but just saying that the words themselves don't sound right to me as an American.

Words like "czar" and "Homeland Security" just SOUND un-American for some reason to me.

It's the ones they try to wrap up in a flag that irritate me. "Patriot Act"? Cleverly named so the sheep think it's good for them.

Actually most of those positions were created by the bush administration. fox news just started calling them czars because their viewers will believe anything.

They are advisory positions. Fox news calls then czars. The Obama administration doesn't call them that. These are mostly positions created by the previous administration. Much of this BS comes from the religious right wing. If we could separate the religious conservatives from the political conservatives we would be a lot better off.

Yeah, a law that took away our rights... to "protect" us. George Washington & Thomas Jefferson would hang those politicians with the first rope from the highest tree. lol

I also like the way they re-define stuff. "Weapons Of Mass Destruction" used to mean "Nuclear Weapons" But they changed that to mean Chemical Weapons (which used to be known as "chemical weapons" :1orglaugh ) and anything else that killed people.

Mass Destruction used to mean everything was DESTROYED. But the damn U.S. government re-defines things to fit their needs I suppose.

Fox news has been calling the so-called "Czars" by the name "czars" ever since they've been on the air. They're just a news channel if you actually watch the news broadcast like Shepard Smith. All the other filler shows are opinion shows. Just like CNN and CNBC

You just have to use your common sense to know when a news reporter is reading the news and when a commentator on ANY of the news channel is giving opinion. :)

None of these people actually have jobs with a title of Czar. That is more like a title bestowed by the press. and while we are at it,

GWBush had more (35) czars than Obama(32) and many who are considered Czars in the Obama administration are carryover Bush appointees..

So I guess Fox is the leader, because the names stuck

the country is center right, has been for a long time, only one news company understood that and that's why they are number 1 for 10 years and why they got a front row seat at the white house press room. Im sure the present administration didn't want that.

I still maintain that if one thinks ANY of these people are "communists" then that merely indicates that you don't what a communist is.

Look, I'm not a big fan of Obama, either -- but all this nonsense of calling him a "socialist" or "communist," or his calling appointees such is merely muddying the substantive policy debates that need to be kept on serious footing, and need to involve (among other thing) an accurate assessment of fact. If you are maligning your non-communist opponents as communists, then you aren't being factual. Period.

When someone calls Obama a communist, I react no differently than I did when people called Bush a "nazi" during the last administration. When someone commenting on politics reaches for the nazi/Hitler comparison, or the communist/Stalin comparsion, I tend to think that person isn't terribly reasonable. To me, it is pretty clear that they are employing extremist rhetoric to demonize the opposition, instead of making a reasonable, valid point. :2 cents:
