Yes. To those of you with your own merchant account using Epoch as a payment gateway, an epassporte tran will look just like any other Visa tran.

I'm waiting for the answer with the Electron fee for an ATM withdrawal.
Btw, you say there is no fee for me when a sponsor sends me money, but what is their fee? Just that $.25 (or $1 for more than 5 transfers/day) or more? Because if it's (much) more, they might deduct that from the amount to pay us - so I'm curious to know.

Another thing is: can I create an epassporte virtual account with no money (but a card info provided), have funds paid in it by a sponsor and then order a Visa Electron card for $35 to be mailed to me? To save that initial $5 fee :1orglaugh

I tested the fee stucture with my card. There is no charge to withdraw funds uwing your epassporte Electon card.

As for transfer fees, the fee's quoted above are for personal accounts. Sponsors would use a commercial or corporate account with a differnet fee structure.

LOL!! YOu are always thinking about how to save a buck. A good way to be. :thumbsup

However, you can not obtain a card without loading it. The initial load has a minimum $50.

However, I suspect that some sponsors will be issuing cards to their affialtes at no or reduced costs.

Two questions KRL. When did you try this and where are you located? There was a zip code issue day of launch that got resloved Wenesday. It had something to do with postal codes that included alpha characters and affected those trying to sign up from Europe and Canada. That issue should be cleared up now. We are defnitely issuing cards now.

Please let me know.

It was the same night you put up the post. Zip code is in Florida.

I called tech support right away when I realized it charged my card the $55 without registering my info, and he said there were some problems with zip codes and support would call me back. But they never did. Called again in the daytime and same thing, they would look into it, there were a few bugs still and they would call me back in 30 minutes and never did. I recognize all new progs have bugs. Just a bit concerned how I got charged for it even if it turns out to be an authorized pending and clears off my card in 3 days. That shouldn't happen because it will pee off customers signing up who have a zip code problem. Webmasters obviously have a higher tolerance for system bugs since we deal with them all the time.

I'm just going to wait to see if the charge clears off then I'll try again. Hopefully it won't repeat the zip error message again.

Hey Rand,

So whats the deal with the ePassport rebilling issue... just lay it on us already? :winkwink:

To me this is a very important issue - if the ePassport is going to auto-load itself or not when money is owed on a subscription that was purchased with a eP virtual visa.

Your question has been answered at least five times.

the ELECTRON card can ONLY be used at PIN-BASED POINT OF SALES. so no, you CAN'T buy stuff online with the electron card.

a couple observations:

- p2p transfers are free with paypal. you must receive with your personal account (not your business one) though.

- the "free $5" for joining and referring a new user is deceptive, see:
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr.../bonus-outside
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr...us-faq-outside
bottom line is that you must add $250 to your account to get $5, and as a referrer your referral must add $250. it may have been different in the past though.

I'm not trolling or tricking anyone by bumping this. Just reminiscing. I have used ePassporte since the first or second week they launched and I have been a big fan and supporter ever since. It really is a disappointment how things are ending up...
