Obama sends US Special Operations Forces to 75 countries, up from 60 last year
(www.raimd.wordpress.com)
The US Special Operations Forces, or Green Berets, are operating in 75 countries around the world, up 25% from last year. Under the Obama administration, special ops forces have been sent to Iran, Somalia, Yemen, Pakistan, Ukraine, Bolivia, Peru, Turkey, the Philippines, Columbia and Paraguay, among many others. Of the 13,000 Special Operations forces worldwide, 9,000 are split between Iraq and Afghanistan. [1,2] Obama was and still is perceived by many to be fundamentally different than George W. Bush. This only reveals how widespread gullibility and self-serving ignorance are. Under Obama, the number of US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan jumped to 189,000 at end of 2009, up from Bush?s high of 186,000. Aerial bombings by US-operated drones have increased under Obama. Obama additionally employs an ?Intelligence Community? of 200,000 at a cost of 75 billion dollars annually. [3,4] The United States is, regardless of its individual leadership, the greatest menace to humanity today. There is no force which plays a larger policing or military role worldwide. There is no force which drops as many bombs, invades as many countries, trains as many armed forces and spies on as many dissidents. While US imperialism and its goons may appear strong, this is not necessarily the case. The real strength lies with the people, the masses of the Third World which make up the broad majority humanity. United under common interest, for peace, freedom and equality, and without illusions about the antagonistic nature of imperialism, the world?s masses can defeat reactionaries and lay the foundation for a better future. And the Republicans said he was weak... looks like they got another thing wrong about him.
To be fair, Obama did say during his Campaign that he would be moving the bulk of the troops to Afgan. No reason to be surprised about it, that's for sure. He's earning that peace prize....one country at a time.

It smell like shit to read there are US forces in south america. Specially in peaceful countries as Bolivia and Paraguay. Where the fuck are they doing there?
Instead of sending security forces, many american citizens should go there, specially Bolivia, to see how the politician and powerful business elites can be regulated for social groups, and at the same time, keep the economy growing up, and at the same time to elevate the education levels and reducing the distance between the richer and poorer.... Maybe, I donīt know... |

South America have been growing an average of 5%, reducing unemployment and improving local productions. Freedom is improving everywhere too. Laws against media monopolies like is happening in Italy or many other countries where a few corporation are owners of the few voices and let sell to citizens financial rescues spreading the fair that is that or the end of times. I like whatīs going on in South America. I donīt like the crisis that I see in Europe and US. |

There are not paramilitaries in Bolivia or Paraguay. The production of coca is legal in Bolivia, so there is not ilegal business over there. Cartels are in other countries, Colombia and Mexico for example, just there where US have more influence. Like Afganistan and the opium. If you donīt want big cartels growing up, keep away US influence, specialy the CIA that always need to finance secret operations...

I never said the economy was perfect (speaking of comprehending things) I said everything is running perfect, then I made a statement about Jobs. Good attempt though, but still a fail, that's an F- you will have to get your mom to sign and return this report card. ![]()

You know, I always thought people judged him too harshly, after debating him on a subject he was obviously clueless about, I've changed my mind.

I might give a shit except the troops were already there before.
Some people only started giving a shit when Obama was elected. Now they have all this "new found knowledge" to educate all the people who already knew this shit all their lives already.

I really believe that TheDoc is mentally handicapped and he is on a lot of meds. It's the only explanation for his lack of intelligence, common sense, or anything attributing to reality. The shit he says is like a giant facepalm for everybody reading it. He's definitely entertaining in the fact that I know why he's in this business and why he's a failure.

Geez, we can't afford the wars and the Nobel peace prize winner is escalating it, fucking lovely.
Playing with the lives of our service men is something that has to stop, whats the goal? Is it the safety of our country, NO, they can't even protect ranchers along our own fucking border, so we're sending all our troops to a fucking country that is full of guys with rifles and a couple rocket launchers, yeah, that's makes all the sense in the world, NOT!

The terrorist won in the 9/11 attack, they have single handily helped to ruin our economy and provide a sticking point in our politics, all from a bunch of guys with the equivalent of a 6th grade education (if that), a stash of AK-47's and a knowledge of pipe bomb making. I'm sure Bin Laden, if he truly is still alive, is laughing at us
