Looking for a sweet program that will batch convert/encode xxx to mp4 AND if possible add a watermark to each video.

Let me know what experiences you got. Paid or free is both fine

Have konrad set up your tube script to do it for you foo. It can already do dat shit.

Or, buy Sorenson Squeeze. I think that is one of the many formats it converts in batch.

+1 for VideoCharge.

I don't do mp4 (only wmv or mpg), but that software is awesome for video stuff. It handles everything I ever need done.

I use that one as well. Each program has it's advantages depending on what you are doing. If I am just re-running content, like for a clip store, I will batch process in VideoCharge. If it is a first run clip, or something where I want higher quality. I will use Premiere, or Sorenson.

I know, we normally do. But because these are full videos upto 1gig in size and we have a shitload of traffic on the servers i dont want to burn them up when i can encode them prior to the upload

So videocharge would be good to do something like this?

you dont use a staging or dev server and you have "shitloads" of traffic? interesting.

videocharge will do it, but it tends to crash, sorenson is crap. i would use canopus by grass valley, its spendy like sorenson but far superior.

It is my experience that the latest version of VideoCharge Studio does not crash...or at least I have yet to encounter it crashing.

Outsource to people that do this for a living, proper encoding in bulk where you are dealing with different source formats is not a simple matter.
Not unless of course you have just 50-100 videos in which case smaller programs may do depending on your time restraints.
