Actually, a 20px x 20px image is much more difficult than simply doing it right in 300 dpi vector. 20x20 requires a microscope.

It is just as hard to do...well.

The nike swoosh, heck that's a fucking piece of piss to design. It's just a fucking tick! The apple logo? That's just an apple with a bite out of it!

Why are they good logos? Because they will work in mono or full colour, at 20x20 or 500x500, as a favicon or a full page ad.
