I used to like horseback riding, but it was time consuming, and expensive. There were also few opportunities to be really social.

Then I got into ballroom dancing, and competed this last weekend. But I really suck at it, got last place in everything I competed in...and really don't want to go through that again.

So I'm looking for a new hobby. What is YOUR hobby?

(yeah yeah I know I will get the usual GFY'ers saying they like to snort crack or fuck girls in the ass or something but...)

you should stick with the ballroom dancing, don't give up on it...just maybe a different studio/group or class. I hear you on the competitive part... it ruins the energy of the group.

I just picked up golf a few months ago and I am hooked. Everytime I go out I learn something new and get better. Granted I was horrific when I started. But I think any hobby where you can be with your friends and get better at the specific activity is a good hobby.
